@Noogthoo Life isn't a movie. The reality is when it comes to war and having to go off and fight, Many couples don't make it. You saw how hard it was for both of them to be away from each other. Sooner or later it takes it's toll. Only the strongest relationships survive.
I love the ending to the movie, compared to the book. Although Tim dies eventually in the movie, there is a glimmer of hope that the two souls reconnect. Since a person only have one life in this world, I do not like seeing kindred spirits apart...but then again I am a hopeless romantic. I love the book!

This was one the best movies i have ever seen. It was incredibly cute, and funny(at times), but at the same time it was emotional. I loved it. I love Channing, he was the perfect guy in this film, it was a complete different side of him compared to his other films. But I agree, it really deserved a better ending.
