Not every American is a proud member of the country, and I'd like to use myself as an example. Sure, we get cheaper gas than the UK and most of Europe actually, and I guess it's cheap to live in a lot of places around the country, but I hate this place because of the people you guys are complaining about.

Actually you don't want downforce on the Bonneville salt flats for that very reason, it's like driving on ice; at 213 mph your car WILL lift off.

The RX-7 is much more fun to drive and has better top speed capabilities than the majority of Civic models. The Civic surely beats the RX-7 in handling in some areas.

Saying that this car would not have spun if it had a spoiler is unfounded - but I guess so is all the other content of your posts. Its true that the car in the video should have aero components, but the video doesn't really prove that the average spoiler on and average car is any more of a performance benefit than the color of paint it wears. And a wing is not the same design as a spoiler. They look similar, but operate with different principles.

Look, I know it's difficult to understand but downforce is what keeps your car on the ground. You *need* this at high speeds or your car will literally take off like an airplane. Yes, it increases drag thereby "slowing down" the car. However, most drivers prefer a slower car that's stable at 170mph rather to a car that can get to 200mph but start lifting off around 145mph.
