Hi I just got my dentures 3days ago, and i was wondering how long it took for you to be able to eat food. (other then soft). I feel like im not going to ever be able to eat right again....
@unidenfaygo as many times a day as you can that also helps speed up the healing process bigtime. you are going to be sore for awhile but even loose i am still eating corn dogs from sonic. its all about how tough you believe you are and just keep tryin. what exactly are you eating besides soup and im sure jello is in there somewhere and ice cream
@boxersrock1, I am eating rice, ramen noodles, soup, jello, pudding, mashed potatoes, refried beans...i did eat some lasagna yesterday and that went pretty well. It sucks because im also preggers, so i have to eat. I still have stiches in. I cant wait for my gums to heal so i can stand to put more pressure on them.
@unidenfaygo rice, mashed potatoes LASAGNA!!! you are doin way better than i did for bein a few days in but maybe you heal up faster maybe bein "preggers" lol has somethin to do with that but i can put pressure on mine they are just loose but im gettin my soft liner in and cant wait til tomorrow
@unidenfaygo i got my soft liner in and since then i have eaten sirloin burgers from jack in the box, lasagna lol, pancakes and bacon and sausage, chick fil a stuff, corn dogs from sonic, it gets much better when you get the liner, but as you already know some stuff tastes diffrent and might stick to the roof of the denture and you end up lookin like a dog lickin peanut butter off the roof of his mouth its real funny if you can laugh at yourself, i do it more often than i should lol

We went out to lunch yesterday and of course i had the soup, but i thought i would be dareing and add crackers....ya not so much, soggy soup crackers deff make you look like a dog!! HA HA!!! What was it like getting the reline?

My grandma (who passed away last fall) told me once that she would "work on" her new dentures with an emery board (nail file) to get them to fit better. Have you ever heard of such a thing?

They are going to give me a partial top denture. But, I would like a full top one. I'm like, just yank all the top ones and give me a full one. Then I would always have a perfect smile. Anyway, my sister was a diabetic and so was my dad. So I grew up checking there blood and all that fun stuff. PEACE!
