A generation ago, hg players thought they were locked eternally into a legato playing style, since the pressure of the strings against the wheel could not be varied -- the only articulation simulated by the controlled rattle of the trumpet string's vibration bridge. These detached notes, from the wheel, are something new.
Check out Loibner's 'Katzensilber' among the soundclips on his website for another fine example of playing in this detached style.-- Not at all easy to do -- Congratulations, Marc Egea, on posting this performance.
M'agradaaaaaa!
