I read somewere that when david bowie was dating Iman, Iman walked to hermes paris store with Bowie and felt in love with a bag. Rumor has it that bowie went back to the store and beg for the bag, he said that has to say/ drop his name/ who he was to get  the bag that same day, so he could present the bag as a surprise at dinner time over a boat in the sienne river with Iman, and yes he got the bag hummiliating himself and it was 20 thousand and Iman and david are married since 92 ???

People should not have to be apologetic about how they spend their money... as long as they are spending the money they HAVE and not money from their LINE OF CREDIT...

If you can afford it, enjoy it. If you cannot then just act according... no need to be judgmental about other people's value system...

I don't shop frequently... when I do I only get things that last in classic style and quality... a bag from Hermes last a lifetime :)

You do not have to be a constant shopper at Hermes to be put on the list. I got on the list the first time I stepped into the store and just asked. Also in this video the author states that you have to pay for the bag and then wait for the bag to be made. You do not pay for anything until the bag is in your hands!!!! Sometimes they have birkin bags for purchase but it's not that often unless you're in Japan.

Me and my boyfriend went into Hermes in Las Vegas and saw a $150.000.00 Hermes diamond and croc birkin. Also we bought a HAC and he put his name on the list for an orange HAC. not as expensive as they say and you could buy the bags at the store if they have them available. but to be on the list you have to be a constant shopppper

My initial reaction is 'how shallow' but then I realize that if these things are appreciated by you, then by all means purchase it! I love the fact that we are lucky enough to be able to have luxury items.

If I work hard, I damn well deserve to spend my money as I wish and think it's unfair for others to impart their values upon how I spend my own money.
