@SODAAREA Best bet is too look for the public domain sound track, im sure theres a listing on the net, my guess is Dennis Dragon who did a bunch of Powell instrumentals.
I remember skating w/ him at McGill's park, and he totally elevated our abilities. He was learning 540's at the time, and he was afraid to try anything!
@lynus111 Dennis Dragon was in the Surf Punks and then younger brother of Daryl who was in Captain & Tennille. He's the guy chewing with the food falling out of his mouth during the party scene in "Animal Chin."
@Sreybk yeah I knew he was the guy eating in animal chin, blonde hair dude, he made some god awful powell music however (sorry mate if you read this), Johnny rad however the guy who lived downstairs from stacy P) was a legend :D:D
I remember this > he skated for H-street a week later :P The rumor was that he got Mcgills pantys in a bunch so he never joined the powell team > rumors
few years ago, two parents went out for dinner. A few hours later, the babysitter was calling to ask if she could cover up the clown statue in the kids' room, the father said,"Take the kids and get out of the house. We'll call the police, we don't have a clown statue." The "clown statue" is really a killer that escaped from jail. If you don't post this letter on to 10 videos tonight, the clown will be in your bed at 3:00 am with a chainsaw in his hand;sorry i didnt want that happening to me
1 year b4 this we met him at Knotts berry farm doin a show there during the summer , freakin 13 yrs old. Best he was doin was backsideone footed airs and really small madonnas. a year later we see this. blew me away .
My friend gave me an old-school set-up earlier this year. The thing's about 10 inches wide with large chunks missing from the nose (which is very small) and tail. It too is insanely heavy, yet my other "friend" did a 360 flip on it. After examining the bottom of the deck I was able to see some sort of autograph. Unfortunately the board graphic is destroyed, so I have no idea what brand it is.
This came out fall 1988... I think Way officially quit PP for H-Street about the same time. Seem to remember Shackle being released like 6 weeks later (???) Bucky Lasek and Chris Borst are the others in this clip. This video was pretty rad in that so many of the younger skaters in it when on to become established names - Colin McKay, Chet Thomas, Ray Baybee all made their debuts on this video. Not to mention the legendary Frankie Hill...
it's kinda wierd many of his tricks in "public domain" are with more power than in "shackle me not" for example his airs, cab nosepick and I don't think he did a fingerflip indy in "shackle me not"
If I remember correctly, Way had already gone to H-Street and "Shackle Me Not" had been released before this video came out. My friends and I were confused about who Way rode for at the time. I'm surprised Powell-Peralta kept his footage.
@stoozer12: well that's what its called on hotsteeze. com
