Yea is could of been prevented ,Spotters are with you for a reason.I should be ruled either left too right or right too left pattern flying.depending wind it would make sense...Shit like this happens, no matter how much or little the planes cost...Its really no ones fault IMHO..Maybe it was Left to right traffic and the JET wasn't abiding by the rules...Just because its a high Priced Jet. Foamy pilot took off right to left, Mig pilot took off right to left, other aircraft in the

pattern were going right to left. When the collision happened, foamy was going

left to right.

I was there when this happened, it was a very windy day . Cameraman did a good job considering the speed at which the jet was flying....the foamie jet should have never been airborne considering the wind....there were two foamies in the air and my opinion is they should have been on the ground....this was an avoidable mishap....

I can understand people wanting to see the more expensive turbine jets- I would too.

However, the Mig-29 guy should have considered waiting until the edf foamie guy was done flying, or maybe even asking him if he could land. Otherwise, it's just an accident. If there a bunch of RC planes in the air, there are bound to be collisions. The bottom line is that the foamie guy had no obligation to stop flying his plane just becuase a person with a more expensive plane wanted to fly.

The Mig-29 guy was setting up and had his engines running when the foamie guy took-off are you blind ? Turbine jets take longer to setup than plugging your battery on a EDF foamie. The bottom line is that when a 10,000$ jet is running and ready to take off you dont launch your foamie, its the smart and polite thing to do. I would never fly my jets with a foamie buzzing around or a helicopter. Anyways the Mig pilot could have waited for the other one to finish but his jet was running already

No Traffic pattern!, I only flew 2 model airplanes and I was by myself. The traffic patterns go in the same direction of the takeoff parahlel to the runway. It seems the mig was on a demo flight,but still he took off half looped and wnet against the traffic direction,as a matter of fact the foamy was in the traffic pattern the mig was against traffic.
