Would washing the nuts, a thorough rinse, help to avoid the contamination from other nuts?

I used to get allergic reactions to certain foods but not severe ones. Eggs and chicken. I don't anymore. But I used to take one Benadryl if things got bad. The worst would just be itchy skin. The Benadryl would make it go away.

Don't know if that would work for you.

Being processed with those other nuts, amy mean the shelling operation may have all nuts go through it at different times. There may be residual oils/ dust from other nuts on your nuts.I would suppose they do do a very good cleaning of the processing equipment,and put that warning on to cover their asses.
