  • which ones kobe?

  • alot of people that ball and ball hard forget about using the pivot foot. when you ball you need to free...do what you want how you want. thats why girls arent so good..most they dont flow..no grace. jordan he was dancing...kibe same thing. lebron cant dance and durant dont learn the steps. thats the truth. jordan and kobe the top 2 fuck the rest

  • Not to be a hater but he travels on the 1st, 2nd, 4th, and the last one

the 4th one is debatable tho

  • greatest player w/ the greatest rapper of all time in one vid. Kobe <3 2Pac <3 <3 <3

  • i can't believe it.... i think the lebron travelling jokes have finally died out!

  • love kobe...but first one was a travel

  • u should make video called LeBron - the definition of travelling

  • @sparklepink1000 It would make no sense cause Kobe already made one first and this only proves he fits the footwork of a true traveling master. Hands down!

  • man its funny , i just searched 'lebron footwork' and found a video that said , kobe's footwork .

  • @crissfoo96 that's because he has no footwork. search lebron travels and you'll definitely find one

  • 2pac <3

  • he should be on dancing with the stars. beautiful footwork.

  • this is like wathching a tiger eating arabbit these defenders had no chance in fucking hell----rip to the fucking defense

  • song? :D

  • the intro made me dizzy, fuck!!

  • wow lol this should be called the definition of travel

  • To him this is call great footwork but to us this is call tough shot and coach will definitely take u out

  • speaking of footwork, this video was filmed with kobe bryants game shoe. how can you even see feet with this quality???

  • nice vid but it would better if there was a better quality

  • Rondo does travel a lot . Lol I love the celtics . Kobe is my favorite player but his footwork is remarkable. Never seen many players like that.

  • SHIT FUKING BIGGEST TRAVEL IN THE NBA DAMM NIGGAA

  • @BostonCeltics972 i guess u dont watch your own team then rondo beyond travels..

  • Lebron doesnt have a fraction of the agility, fluid motion or nimble foorwork than Kobe has...plain and simple... James better learn the post, cuz he wont have his legs forever

  • he got the best footwork best skills ever its ridiculous

  • great quality :)):))

  • thums up for the music ;)

  • i have to rotate myself constantly to watch your video

  • @mrsoftbody Plus how can you even tell who is guarding Kobe with the crappy quality.

  • @mrsoftbody How is it not.He establishes is pivot foot (left) by moving his right foot and then does like a hop?I maybe young but I know the game.

  • He travels soooo bad at 0:28

  • c0ol....

  • I was turning my head in circles at the beginning of the video.

  • cant wait to see Lebron James : The Definition of Footwork

  • @ANDREvan12 ahahhahahha

  • @ANDREvan12 he has a footwork video. it's that sprite commercial with all that cg :)

  • 1:01 definitely a travel

  • @longjiaxi613 What the hell?

  • @jakonicki93 what the hell? just count the steps

  • Great quality! Which pixels are Kobe?

  • which pixel was kobe bryant?

  • first play is a travel he moved his pivot foot

  • @gamevirus01 yeah you can move it you just can't lift it

  • @ridore9 that my point, he lifted his pivot of the ground hence taking an extra step

  • @gamevirus01 No he didnt if you watch carefully he lifts his pivot exactly at the same time as when he puts down his first dribble .

  • @gamevirus01 if u look he dribbled first thats why both his feet moved

  • Yea theres a new rule about establishing your pivot. You are allowed a second step when catching the ball to establish the pivot in the NBA. thats why u see dudes walk into a catch a lot. Kobe does that in the post a lot. But hey everyone travels. The point of this video is to learn. So be educated. This will help u weekend warriors.

  • man, kobe is the best at footwork, a beast in the game and a dream watching, but the play at 1:00 is a FUCKING travel (although he pawned the D's), but he is one of the players that travel the least in not only the nba but also europe and we all ballers travel from time, and hope to get away with the call!... i've seen well known european players get away with huge travels, and then others get calls for non existent travels!

  • Everyone travels once in a while but kobe is way better then most. MJ traveled more actually. But like estderoma said...as long as you establish a pivot foot you can extend the other anyway you want. It's just kobe's pivot game is SICK!!!! No one quite like it.

  • As long you're move isn't that obvious Travel you wont be called Travelling.

  • he is my fav player but he Travel a lot>

  • Kobe traveled once, that i saw, in this video, specifically the first one when hes on the left block vs i believe its the pistons, he hopped on his pivot foot like twice before finally shooting, but the referee was right there, he got caught watching kobe instead of doing his job...

  • who's that number 54? he is open when kobe drives at 1:42. pass the ball kobe! ball hog!!

  • @doyllmj that'd be kwame brown.... we don't pass to kwame

  • @joblwo hahahahaha

  • @doyllmj Lol did u really just tell Kobe the best player on the planet to pass to Kwame Brown by far the worst player the NBA HAS EVER SEEN... -.-

  • scola has some good footwork as well

  • Kobe has the best footwork in the game...but this video is really kobe making some amazing shots and fadeaways

  • @Clepton which he made because of his footwork.

  • this is what separate kobe from lebron and makes kobe the far superior offensive player. lebron is just pure athlete. but kobe's footwork is like watching magic.

  • I had to watch that right foot in the air during that dribble in the 2nd slow-mo 3 times before it became conclusive for me. Thats impossible to call during a game. It's still nowhere near as bad as these "hop-steps" most of these players make (including kobe a few times but mostly forwards like lebron and melo) where they're supposed to land on both feet at the same time after the first step but end up taking a staggered 1-2.

  • I was tryna watch it but the camera started going in circles! I ain't tripping - good video

  • Great vid man. Quality could be better but since it was your 1st vid i guess its ok

  • Comment removed

  • Kobe BRyant clearly has the best footwork in the league but after watching alot of soccer clips it really makes alot of this stuff look like shit. I want to see if you could fuse alot of the soccer footwork into basketballl

  • @atl2maryland

Kobe did grow up playing soccer. In Italy.

  • Some of you people dont know how the pivot foot works. If you dont know what youre talking about then shut up. That's why I'm slow to use some moves.. because if it looks different or new and involves complex footing or pivoting and spinning ppl will scream travel. It's called footwork.

  • KOBE WALKS AT 1:00. CROSSOVER. 1. LEFT STEP. 2.RIGHT STEP. 3. LEFT STEP BACK FOR FADE AWAY.

  • He traveled in the first part. The rest are cool. He moved his pivot foot. Stating the rules 300 times still doesnt deny the fact he lifted his piviot foot. He caught the ball @ 0:41 and even if you dont count that as two steps when he clearly caught the ball and took 3 steps doing so (ive seen refs who do count those steps even when not jumping) and then @ 0:46 he attempts to pivot but unintentionally hops with both feet which is really another 2 steps. Its so quick it doesnt matter.

  • @Aadonis219 no he didnt travel actually. At 46 seconds he dribbled the ball so he didnt have to keep a pivot.. he did hop but he dribbled.

  • awesome vid good track

  • The one in 2:35 was not a travel, guys. Look at the slow mo after that. He still dribbled the ball when he dropped that left foot, so that was not the pivot. It was the right foot.

  • Kobe is such a hacker lol jk

  • That one against Denver was a definitely a travel... totally switched his pivot foot. That was great D by Raja Bell on the first one.

Kobe's footwork is probably the best in the game today and definitely one of the best all time.

  • @sackmaster91 actually he was still dribbling so it wasnt official whether it was his left or right pivot... buh yeah best foot work in the league!

  • @abut0 No he definitely established his left foot as his pivot.

  • how are there 59k views and no comments? or is this just a glitch in my computer....

  • @Hurricanealy yep, glitch

  • trust me its legal, i do the same fade away in the post and never get a call for it

  • this is pretty much a slo-mo video of how much kobe travels.

  • @chaz72987 you dont now basetball obviously,

  • @chaz72987 u dont no basketball

  • @chaz72987

Obviously you know nothing about basketball. Do you even understand what is pivot foot? I dun think so.

  • At 2:35, it was a travel if you wanna be a fucking whiner nerd. His pivot foot slipped, he didn't really raise it, and really, if you pay close attention to it, if you do a turnaround fadeaway fast in a game, almost everytime your foot is gonna slip. The play against the Pistons was probably a travel, it's hard to say from this angle that did he dribble the ball after the spin move, if he didn't, then it's a travel.

  • it was really good

  • i'm a fan of kobe

but.. he really moves his pivot foot (left foot) at 2:35.

  • at 2:35, his pivot leg is right. watch closely and you will notice.

  • There was a travel 2:46

  • footwork is the most important skills in many sports. cuz it can make u to have better position on both defence and offence. KB is neither strong nor tall but his footwork made him the best

  • @peterequation All because he used to play soccer...XD..

  • @illusionmofo lol really?

  • @peterequation Yep. He was told that he could become pro in soccer, but chose to do basketball as soon as he got out of high school. You can tell...that form of the pullup jumper is VERY similar to kicking a ball.

  • @peterequation LMAO Kobe is pretty damn strong, and at 6'6-6'7 pretty damn tall.

  • Comment removed

  • why? are u a referee?? lol!

  • maybe in europe you faggot pussy not in the nba!!!

  • that's not true. he only took 1 step while he had control of the ball. It was with his right foot. Then he pivoted on the right foot also. that's legal. when he made the step with his left he was still dribbling.

  • he was pivoting on his right foot (2.49) not his left, thus it was not a travel.

  • no he pivot left you retard

  • wheres the travel?? lmao!!! wow.... Kobe the king..

  • great foot work but a lot travel

  • @WongCH55 which are travels i only saw one against the pistions

  • yeahh baby!! tupac for life!!

  • PFFFFFT

  • travel on 2:45. LOL

  • no it aint rookie

  • it wasn't a travel he never picked up his pivot foot

  • Kobe is mad gangsta when it comes to raping.

  • nah.. it aint a travel.. basketball players know that it isnt a travel and wouldnt need to argue..

  • kobe's skills are impecable

  • Unlike your spelling.

  • Pivot Foot: Some of you fail to understand what this is.

  • I think Kobe does very well.

  • yo good ass video and nice pick of the music too

  • at 0:32 He maintains the right foot as his pivot after he picks up the ball. NOT A TRAVEL.

You can make an argument that his moving before the dribble was a travel, but he put the ball down almost immediately. Plus the ref was literally right there in front of him.

  • yeah he didn't dribble in that highlight. he holds the ball after he receives the pass and then changes his pivot foot in the rotation. That is a travel.

  • ur such a fuking retard

  • Yeah, I know iss Kobe. Sometime my mind travels too fast to know if iss legal. "Ann dass juss da way it is." * Ted Poe

  • At first I was gonna say this: Coby do travel allot and the reason they dont be callin it is the same reason dat the elected officials in Washington dont be doing nothin about eachother and pirate interest groups doing things to America(ns) that they know aint right. They scared of the money; you aint gonna be around long if you be callin Kobe for traveling all the time. You might not even make it out the building, We gotta vote out people that be F-in us. And thats just the way it is.

  • But then I changed it to, Dat aint travlin foo, Kobe just be pimpin, pimpin the system. Dont hate the player, hate the foos that be taken/ givin away all our money/ rights, lying to us the whole time. We gotta vote out people that be F-in us, hold people accountable for what they do. Sept NBA players and stuff iss only a game. And thats just the way it is.

  • He did travel on some of them, but you must understand what Kobe understands. And thats is in live game speed its hard to spot what the feet are doing. Its only when you have luxury off slow motion to spot things as they are. We all usually can spot a travel because something awkward just happen OR its just blantley obviouis that the player traveled. But if you make it seem like that extra step was in fact your second step you can get away with it. Especially when spinning, its hard to call.0:59

  • first one is a big travel too

  • The spin move where they pickup the ball mid spin is officially a travel.

But it happens so often and it looks pretty so NBA doesn't call it.

  • ITS CALLED PIVOTING ITS NOT A TRAVEL

  • 2:35 was a travel..not purposely but he didnt mean to establish a pivot because he put 2 feet on the ground..but he kinda of lost footing from what he was trying to do so technically it was a travel...and I am the biggest kobe fan

  • 0:59 / 2:35 travels......

  • fuking retard! 2:35 is not a travel u dont know anything about basketball

  • if you rest a foot on the floor after the last dribble, that is your pivot foot and you can't raise it, he did, so that's a travel period.

  • 2:35 isn't a travel man. What is wrong with you? Kobe bounced the ball on his left foot. Then he reversed spin he using his right foot. Only 2 steps.

But the spin on 0:59 is 3 steps, and the refs usually close one eye on this kind of moves because it's too fast.

  • the left foot is the first he rests on the floor after the dribble (if you stop at 2:35 you can see he's got the ball in his hands, with the right foot lifted), than that's the pivot foot, he CAN'T raise it.

  • y r u so eager to prove he travelled estderoma..no matter how much u try to convince any1 thers no shyin away from the fact that kobe bryant is the best in the league right now..earnin a living off those "travles"

  • basically I'm so eager to prove that he travelled cause he did. I know Kobe is the best, but I hate the way the refs let superstars do what they want on the court. basketball got rules, and it got ruined if they aren't observed, especially in the NBA, where all the perimeter player are extraordinary athletes, and it's IMPOSSIBLE to defende 1 on 1 if your opponent travels on the first step. that's why.

  • @estderoma I agree, that was travel on that 1..too obvious when I watched it close range.

  • @estderoma yes thats kinda suspicious,or maybe nba referees isnt that sharp to detect kobes tricks.

  • @estderoma kobe has really good footwork but yeah that was a travel haha

  • @estderoma

I see your point, but I think the referees felt that BOTH feet were established and at rest BEFORE Kobe put TWO HANDS on the ball. If that is true, the player can choose which foot to use as the pivot. Simply because the left foot is the first foot he rests on the floor doesn't automatically mean it's the pivot. The only way the left foot is automatically the pivot is if the right foot is still moving when he picks up his dribble with BOTH HANDS. It was not.

  • this isnt a travel in NBA but in real basketball it is because he landed on his left foot first while catching the ball and he used his right foot as pivot, in basketball the first foot that u land with while u catch the ball is ur pivot

  • Some of the moves look like traveling to me...He is a good player though, better than LB23...

  • this man has mastered the game!

  • i love iverson..but everytime his in the game he makes his teammates looks like stupids he shines too much dats y his team never win championshps..

he doesnt play like a shooting guard cos he moves with d ball,,he dont do cath nd shoot he creates hes own shots..

he doesnt play like a PG also hes not a willing passer..unlyk other guards..

he plays like a small forward he creates his own shots..give d ball to the open man wen he penetrates..iverson shud not be a guard must be a forward.haha

  • 1st its dewayne wade......2nd micheal jorden.....3rd kevin garnett.....4th labron james........5th kobe bryant.........

  • u are rediculous.. d wade no1????

u have no sense of basketball kid...

  • wow. thats is probably the most ass-backwards list i've seen. it'd be one thing to say 1) jordan 2) lebron 3) kobe. but to say wade, jodan, garnett (seriously?), lebron, kobe is rediculous. you must not know basketball. the most likely would probably go

    1. jordan

    2. kobe

    3. shaq

    4. lebron (needs a few titles)

    5. wade (needs a few titles)

(in order of greatest to ever play, not greatest today. garnett is maybe top 15, but not top 3.)

and by the way, great job of spelling their names.

  • @1907811 fkcing backwards list.

learn to spell first before making a comment about basketball dumbfukc

  • 2009 playoff round 1 game 4 LA vs Jazz - Kobe hits jumpshots in brewers face like 15 times - unbelievable

  • he is great. after doing those steps, he can still kept himself balance and shoot.

  • For any ppl that think he travels he doesn't his pivot foot is always planted on the floor meaning he can still move the opposite foot which makes it seem like he's traveling but in reality he's not.

Kobe bryant by far the best foot work in the nba.

And all those haters don't hate kobe they just hate his game cuz he's way too good and dominates any defender including lebron james

P.S. Lebron even admits kobe is better than him in one of his interviews

  • I'm a BIG Kobe FAN. But the fact is, he really gets a way with travel almost evrytime. He does it really quick and sometimes the ref caught up and swallows the whistle, and like " uhh, i think thats travel.." and the shot's already in. Hehehe! Thats the great thing about being a super star. The slowmotion really tell. Wanna see? look at the move he did @ K-mart, last move. He clearly changes his Pivot while taking the turnaround shot. Looks great, but clearly a travel. :)

  • And so did Jordan, all the great ones get the calls, just look at the MAJOR push off against the defender from UTAH, jordans last shot.

  • i agree in a sense, although some are travels they are soo slick (aka FOOTWORK) they cant be called cuz he so quick. what i dont understand is how the 5 step crab dribble dribble lebron james dont get enough travel calls... i mean they are soo blatant yet refs turn their shoulders.

  • rotfl ... the Dream had the best footwork in NBA history. period. his footwork was impeccable .. kobe's footwork is great, def top 5 .. and probably the best for a perimeter player since Jordan ...

  • yeah i would say kobe then the dream then jordan

  • anyone ever notice that the players in the nba who played soccer for years have amazing footwork? Nash, Kobe, Hakeem. I would suggest that every young basketball player play both sports, i played both and although i wasn't great at soccer it helped me with my footwork. Pivoting feels natural to people that play socer. Pure basketball players have to practice it when they are older and the soccer player has years of experience on them.

  • I know I think I will do that. Barbosa, Tony Parker, Ginobili and more also played soccer. Does it also help with footspeed?

  • i wouldnt say it made my feet move faster but it did make footwork feel natural. So i guess in a sense it does help you do moves faster.

  • thx.

  • there are many nba players with good footwork man....i mean they are pro's ???

  • good basketball moves: 2:02 , 1:25 all the other are just too fancy for me, but he's kobe bryant, he's allowed

  • the quality of the audio file kinda low. but the video really good (not the quality, the skills!!!)

  • kobe is a beast, he didn't travel at all .. hes to good plus hes prolly done all of those moves in practice like a million times and he perfects it... he didn't travel!

  • when kobe get excited he FORGOTS his footwork ....learn how to count pepole...kevin garnett is footwork perfaction ...look for yourself...p.s (kobe s one of the best players ever so dont give me no thumbs down please)

  • 2:45 is a travel right??

  • yea, there are couple of few other ones that are travels too, but he does them really quickly so its kinda hard to see. when you pick up your dribble, the foot that plants first is always your pivot foot. you cant take a step then plant your pivot.

  • thank u sir .....just trying to make sure im not going crazy .....i knoow eveybody travels.

  • not true, other wise you wouldn't be allowed to take two steps with the ball. i agree that some are travel. but at 2:45, it looks like he goes:

1st step, pump fake, 2nd step lands, pivot foot with second step, turns and fires.

but thats me. obviously i'm not a ref or anything so i could be wrong here, but thats how i saw it.

  • yea, u are right that u can take two steps, or rather, u can have the opportunity to have each of ur foot touch the ground once after u pick up ur dribble. hence layups. but if both of ur feet touch the ground after the ball is picked up, u can only move the foot that's not pivoted.

Kobe landed his left foot first, and that has to be his pivot foot. he's not suppose to pick up his right foot after that point. but then again, hes kobe, so he can do whatever he wants...

  • i dont know basketball and my list is wrong.....but your dumbass think 2:45 is not a travel.....uummm maybe you should learn about basketball first dude....and not to have kevin garnett in the top 5 or even ten ......like kevin garnett is a bum or spmething .....straight out of high school....team player....respected by the other players in the leauge since he started playing ...and hes been good for over 10 years..... this list is my personal opiuon thats all so kiss my ass bitch !!!!

  • i'm not saying garnett is a horrible player, and i was just giving you my opinion as well. and 245 wasn't a travel. its simple, you are allowed two steps without dribbling the basketball, and kobe went:

    -1st step

    -pump fake

    -2nd step lands

    -pivots on 2nd step

    -shoots the ball.

its not rocket science. you don't have to pivot with the first foot that lands without a dribble. otherwise the fact that 2 steps are allowed for layups wouldn't be true.

  • Yes! It looked so smooth and quick though so the ref didn't see it. I didn't catch it the first time.
