  • That green top is very, very cute. Just thought you should know. :)

  • ok this might be sort of random but the collapse of a bridge is in fact mentioned in the prologue of the sixth book in the interior monologue of the "muggels prime minister" :) so it's not really wrong though ... but that's no biggie ;)

  • The fifth Harry Potter movie actually came out on my birthday! So my parents took me and I was very disappointed. It was easily, for me personally, the worst. However, I thought it was action packed and for a movie it did good. But my parents, who haven't read the books, had trouble understanding it. I had to explain it to them and they understood the previous ones! I think the sixth movie did better as I didn't have to explain it to them. So the sixth, I think was understandable to nonbook fans

  • When someone says about one of my favorite books: "OMG they butchered it! ", I run to my bookshelf and I see that, no they didn't...It's still there...intact...right where I left it.

There's a reason why they call them "adaptations".

And often there's stuff not in or different from the books that's nice to have ALONGSIDE what's in the books. That one REALLY applies to Jackson's Lord of the Rings.

  • 8:27, 9:30, 10:37 and 11:58 I noticed a DO NOT PULL sign! Xx

  • At the begining on the train Lavenda Brown goes to the window and writes L & R. That was the closest they got to mentioning her name in the film from what we saw, my sister hasnt read the books and so she sat there thinking....who is this person? :S

  • what house are you in? i'm in griyfindor! :)

  • I think your dead on about the movie!

  • I think Harry and Hermione should get together there's so many scenes for them book 2 hug book 3 Hermione hugs Harry because she's scared of Lupin book 4 Hermione kisses Harry after he rescues her and he stares at her at the ball book 5 Hermione and Harry vs umbrige book 6 Hermione calls Harry fanciable 7 dud obvious

  • You are so right i nearly got grounded for ranting so much i mean they make harry look like a prig, they messed up so much i mean they could of taken out the scene when lavender gave Ron the necklace to put in another memory , my favorite seen was the broken heart one with Harry and Hermione, but the For the Harry and Ginny scene they didn't even tell the viewers why they kissed and the only implication of a relationship is when Ginny goes over to Harry when Dumberdore's dead no other scenes,

  • gah i just want to agree with everythingg you said. theyre were some brilliant parts but they focused way too much on the realtionships and didnt prepare everyone for the last movies at all. since i read the series and know everything i wont be confused by all the stuff they left out but since anyone can see the movies what about them? the people who havent read them, how are they supposed to understand the missing parts that are supposed to come together i the final movies? that really irks me.

  • Hi Beckie0 you are like my new favorite person!!

  • I love the impression of Dumbledore. :) Also, other viewers of this video might've been so confused, and wouldn't have stayed the whole 13 minutes, but I did. (: I'm glad I did. Your points are truly.. I want to say wonderful? But thats not the word.. Truly.. real? I dont know. I'm trying to say I agree :)

  • whats with the random 'i dont like milk' ?

  • @AMY1213141 Have you not seen the film "The Borrowers" ? Tom Felton played a small child "Pea-green" who hated milk. "I don't like milk" being Tom's line.... :)

  • @beckie0 aww

  • What is this I don't even

  • HBP was brilliant! And you're totally right! I think they should of done more of a build up of Snape as he is a very complex character & considering the conclusion that we're given & what we learn about Snape in the last book, I think there should of been more to that. I also agree about the romance! I thought there was far too much of that but I think it was probably in there to help appeal more.. More past of Voldemort would of also I think, make the last two films more climatic.

  • I love this video. LOVE IT. You are amazing, and I agree with you completely. Such good points.

Also, they forgot Dumbledore's funeral- and the whole 'Dumbledore-and-the-power-of-love-explanation' scene. They have a heckuvalota explaining to do in the 7th and 8th movies.

  • Not to mention that they missed out the whole flying home from the caves bit and the Madame Rosmerta betraying them because she was under the imperius curse or whatever! btw, nice dumbledore impression!

  • ur ryt i srsly did get angry in the scene wer dumbuldore is killed you know those wer da csens wer i cried while i was reading the book and wen i saw it in the movie i got angry at them for chngng dat !!!!

  • The thing that I didn't like about the 6th movie, is that it made it impossible for the 7th and 8th movies to make sense with everything they left out.

  • The 6th film was actually much better than the 2,3,4,5 films.. 2nd was ok while the 3rd, 4th, and 5th were absolutely atrocious. While I do agree that some scenes added (burrow fire, harry and that black girl in the beginning) and some scenes left out (riddle and slughorn's memory, the half blood prince hysteria) did disappoint me, I still enjoyed the movie, but the ending was SO boring.

  • I've never read the book but I enjoyed the 6th film :) but my friends that read the 6th book said it was pretty bad, so I'm guessing it was a different experience for those who read Happy Potter 6. <3

  • go out and read the whole series then come back please

  • they mist out the best bit 'dumbledore's funeral' and a key charicter the new minester for magic rufus scrimgeor (sorry for any spelling errors)

  • 0.o that was quiet the rant... I dunno how to respond

  • i have seen harry potter 6 already 3 times. it is the best of the series i think it was amazing and i hate it when harry potter fans say oh it was so different from the book. well guess what this is the movie. P.S. IF YOUVE READ HP7 OR PAID A LOT OF ATTENTION TO HP6 YOU WOULD HAVE KNOW DUMBLEDORE WAS SUPPOSED TO DIE. IT WAS ALL PLANNED OUT PEOPLE DONT HATE SNAPE EVEN HE DIDNT WANT TO. LISTEN TO THE TALK BEFORE HARRY AND DUMBLEDORE GO TO THE CAVE IT EXPLAINS EVERYTHING!!!!

  • "Like most harry potter fans"

    "read the book"

Please do not shout at me, yes I am taking the capitals as shouting...

I am a major fan and if you had watched it the whole way through - you would know that.... I have read all the books and watched all the films... I know ... Thankyou thought....

    Rebecca.

  • You're so polite :)

Sorry...random moment. I agree with you for all of it.. and well filmed!

And also...how are they going to hide out in the burrow in film 7 if it's burned down?

    Kelly.

  • lol when the burrow burning scene came on, i was like , "wait i dont remember that in the book, ill have to check tommoro , no it isnt in the book, cant be!" maby the burrow will rebuild its self like the lovegood house

  • Its more the fact that the film is pretty terrible... all of them.

Its trying to be a vaguely adult book/film while also trying to retain its children audience. It fails completely.

    And they cant really act...

    Cool vid though.

  • I totally agree with you! They forgot all the important things in the film! When I went to HP I was so disappointed. I've read all the HP books, but the people who didn't don't even know what a half blood prince is. That really annoys me. But you're right, the comedy parts were great and David Yates is brilliant, but still...

  • i love you becki marry me im gonna be 17 on xmas day lol btw ur really good at fallin lol u fell purposefully brilliantly lol

  • great video!! i love this series!! pleaselook at my channel!! it would mean a lot!!

  • well I think that children these days adept quicker(here me talking like i'm an adult) all you see on the TV these days i very violent so they grow up with all this violence around them so they adept the just think it's normal, but that what i think, but then again i still agree with beckie a lot of thing's are to dark for those children but it's also the parents fault they take them to watch it so. but a lot of new movie's shouldn't be watch by young children

  • Alright I totally agree with that and I'm really mad that the greatest wizard that ever lived only got a handful of people holding sticks in the air for his funeral cmon ppl the books funeral is so much better and second you are amazingly beautiful!!!

  • The movies HAD to get darker. You can't expect Voldemort to be a cartoon character after the first few films built him up as the most evil lord there is. I would like to assume that the folks who have been loyal to this series over the years had too grown up and can handle the mature stuff. If parents don't read the reviews, and still drag their small kids into the theaters, it's not the filmmakers fault. Well done on this video. It was fun to watch.

  • That scene with the burrow burning never EVER EVER EVER EVER happened. Did the director never read THE DEATHLY HOLLOWS? you can't burn the burrow, where is Fleur and Charlie going to get married? Omg and you know Auntie Muriel? I love her! She called Xeno and Luna omelets because they wore yellow robes to the wedding. One of the best characters in Harry Potter.

  • You need to watch "The Interpreter" with Nicole Kidman. Her hair has really awful discontinuity.

  • The two kissing students reminded me of Pheonix when Umbridge uses magic to separate the two kissing students. The implication there was that she was being too strict or conservative, but personally I didn't think it would be appropriate to allow it. There seems to be a lot of kissing in the hallways of that school.

When Dumbledore get zapped by Snape I thought Harry should have tried to use magic to catch him. Now that I now what happened in the book, the book made more sense.

  • Too much kissing. I went with my kid brother and he was all eeeeew where's the magic and action???

It's just not as magical as the first few movies anymore. And Harry's neck is as thick as a bull's while Ron is the Hulk.

Plus I never liked the new Dumbledore. Miss the old one; he was so whimsical and witty even in the darkest of times. RIP RICHARD HARRIS.

  • You're right! Finally someone else is annoyed at how much they missed! YESSSS!!!!! I hope they don't stuff up the last movies!

P.S I have read all the books.

  • They actually messed up big as far back as the third movie. If you go back and read the last chapter of Harry Potter and the Prinsoner of Askaban you will notice Black gives Ron an owl. So then they had to cut out all the parts of Ron's owl. I definitely was unhappy that they got rid of Dumbledore's funeral. I have read the series a few times. There are so many things wrong with this movie. There were some funny parts in this movie. Did you know they are making the 7th movie 2 discs?

  • i love harry potter aswell, i was also dissapointed with the film, and thought that as they have had 2 years to make it, it should have been bigger and better... I was also very suprised that Voldemort did not appear once, or they were not many battles!

  • i've seen all the harry potter movies in theatres , and im almost thirteen. so ive been seeing them since i was 5? (i think ha) and well, to be honest there werent many small children there besides me and my brothers, andwhen i saw the half-blood prince there were so many small children in there, i was like, what is this a nickeloden production? dont think so!

  • I really love harry potter but david yates is the worst director harry potter had and i though u were going to be a twilight fan girl but ur not witch is a good thing cuz teilight is gay

  • To read the books are so much better than to watch the movie..

I watched the movie - and then read the books though

  • I've done the same thing. I've watched the movies and am now going back to read the books. I'm on Goblet of Fire thus far :)

  • Please may I also add, with Hermione's hair, not all people have the same style EVERYDAY somedays my hair is curly, sometimes it's straight- get what I mean?!

  • this has been the most thought prevocking, deep, insightful video I think i've ever watched. Bravo.

  • i didn't read the book neither did my brother but we both thought it was amazing. They got the basic jist, BUT i read they also missed the horcrux in the room of requirement because harry closes his eyes and doesn't see the diadem and has no way to go in the last book. But they got the memory, explained horcruxes, killed dumbledore, etc. Those are the main components and I wish too they fit it all in, but then the movie would be 8 hours. They may for the 7th since its a two parter

  • So true that there are a lot of things missing and changed!! I just wan't to say that I got up at 2:00 in the morning the first day it was in theaters(12:00 was SOLD OUT). I've seen it twice, too. I'm obsessed with Harry Potter so I am angry about certain things that other Harry Potter fans aren't.(And who isn't!!!) There was somethins else that was wrong with the movie:

OMG! They could've put in scenes that were vital to the 7th movie but they put in unnecessary ones!!(Like the BURROW scene!)

  • i luv this video-call my sense of humour immature but when you randomly toppled over after saying something it made me laugh!

And i totally agree about the snape thing. The half blood prince didn't really have much to do with anything then snape randomly says 'i am the half blood prince!' It didnt really seem neccessary to have that in & just looked a bit strange.

  • Well he thought Snape was going to help because Dumbledor told HArry to get Snape before he died.

  • wait are there really 3 of them

  • god i keep watching this video, so so so good, so impressive the info you divulge and all the stuff you noticed! also short hair suits you so well

  • your my hero <3

  • I LOVE THE EXPELLIOMAS PART

  • I have read all the books and seen all the films but i really do think this film was a tad confusing they didnt explain things that well, i went the first day it came out with my friend and the theatre was packed with kids under the age of 10? i mean its a 12a film so how did they get in without an adult, then the second time i went with my dad and step brother and i had to explain it to him, I know it sounds dorky but i teared up near the end when they all were crying and held up there wands :(

  • But overall i thought it was very good and veryy funny :D

  • Snape is the Half-Blood Prince because he is :

Half-Blood: His father was a muggle and his mother was a wizard named Eileen Prince.

    Prince:Because of his mother's surname.

    Half-Blood Prince.

  • if anything out of all the harry potter characters i think u should try Luna lovegood i dunno why just i think it whould suit u i dunno :) x

  • its a movie its not going to be exactly like the book

    get over it

    it was a good movie

no movie is exactly like it

  • haha - ive read the books 448 times and watched the films more - the films no longer work and i think i need to buy some new ones - im not a geek ... im a hardcoregeek 8)

  • I Havent read the books i can understand where u mean about how it just seemed really confusing at some points and i agreee with the ending !!

WTF i turned around to ask summet to one of my mates looked back and it had finished :P i was like ... did it end ???

i totally agree with all the points you made in this vid i thought the exact same thing der was one other point in the film which i didnt get was when malfoy was trying to gatecrash that party ??? why ??

  • I Love Harry Potter I Think It Was Ok But Could Of Been Better To Say How Long They Have Had To Make It

    Great Vid

    Steph xx

  • I havent read the book, Im not even that big of a fan, but i was bothered a lil bit that they did not play THE song. you know? THE harry potter song.

Its just necessary and they didnt even use it in the intro or credits or anything.

  • the 1st and 2nd film were brilliant. but as i read the books aswell, from the 3rd film onwards i havent enjoyed them. they miss way too much out, and i hate it when they change it completly.

  • I can only watch so much of this before it just spoils it for me lol

but the movie Funny People talks about this. They're probably getting their PhDs in wizardry!

  • And also, they screwed themselves over cuz Fleur and Bill are supposed to get married at the Burrow lol!

  • one of your pupils is bigger than the other

  • Hey I noticed the music during the credits from the fifth movie during the fireworks and all my friends thought I was a Harry Potter geek :)

  • I noticed some of this too!

    it bugged me!

  • I totally agree with you on almost every point. (Hermione's hair in the potion's scene was awesome. That should have been her hair through ALL the movies.)

  • I didn't know about the critisism; I'm a big fan of Harry Potter myself, and I didn't really like to hear all that. But I do agree with you. They did leave out a lot of things and focused on romanticism, and I completely forgot about apparating and Bill and Fleur's wedding!

And I agree %120 about the guy who plays Draco. All throughout the movie I was incredibly impressed by his acting. Halfway through I starting thinking about how much he'd changed since the first movie; a spoiled bully.

    Wow.

  • Aha, LOVED the Dumbledore costume ;P

    I loved the film,

But then again I've not read the books although I'm going to.

Awesome video, well done :} x

  • i noticed the lense thing! hahaaa

  • but theres 2 movies for that book!

  • i really think they should have introduced Bill and Fleur because they go to Shell Cottage after the fight at Malfoy Manor!

  • Now, Harry Potter was supposed to come out in November 2008 but they postponed it to July because they would get more money then....and stuff. I think your rant was very good actually...I, myself have not been able to "get into" the books. So yes, it was a little confusing for me. But, the films do have to get darker, because they do. Hehe. Also, remember when you go through the warners bro sign at the start there are nice fluffy clouds but now there are dark lightning clouds..oooh

  • they postponed it for twiglight. it was supposed to come out in july but it came out in november. making harry potter come out it july.

  • I am SOOOO mad they postponed the movie to July just to get more money even though they are in the most successful franchise EVER!!!! But that's how rich people are. Even though they're overly rich, they will always want more money!

  • I knew there was something wrong with harry going down a level. And i have to admit i don't remember him falling out of any window. I did enjoy it. But they did miss allot of it out.

  • Comment removed

  • The three headed dog is Cerberus, he guards the gates of Hades, no Hell. The three headed dog it comes from Greek legends not Christian

  • Everything you said- agreed. I do love the films, but...bits were cut out and it was just too...Oh, I don't know, it was all about teen angst and things. I did havea good laugh though!

  • Great review, Beckie! I felt much the same way about the film, but I was able to see things in a new light after listening your perspective. Thanks : )

  • oh yeah ! and i sooo agree with you for the kids thing. when i saw it there were like 6-7 year olds there ! i thought it was scary for them. even my friend was scared at the part where katie bell is cursed. it is a bit creepy. (:

  • now with your new hair cut you look like pixie geldof

  • i loved the movie . it did leave out some major parts though. i agree with you ! but i know that they can't always have it exactly like the book. they are two different things i have to realize :)

  • please grow ur hair back!!lol

not that ur not tottally beautyfull right now!!!!!! i just think ur hair is the most precious..hehe

  • Ok overall i dnt like it why ? i felt it was a weak film probably one of the weakest, i stopped reading the books by the 4th? i got fed up wv it, & just enjoy the films instead bcos mainly i dnt wona sit through them and be like 3/4ters of the cinema winging what theyve left out i actually want to try and enjoy the film and i dnt want to know what happens because i feel thats the whole point of going to watch a film

  • More:

anyway i felt it was a weak film bcos it just didnt feel complete even tho i dnt read the book i just dnt like the overall product...... but i dnt want to slate it bcos i no how hard they work on this its bin there lives for the past decade. brilliantly tallented actors like J Broadbent, M Gambon, E Thompson, T Felton, M Smith etc

  • (And moresorry !!)

but i AGREE with you that there were some really brillaint scenes, but i just feel lately all that films seem to be more bout lookin gd on HD and sod the quality, it mite be just me ?

and i agree there all too old for the roles but hey!!

  • I didn't read the 6th book so thanks for explaining it all :D

and I agree with the music at the end :P

  • i could not agree more!!!! you have all the same complaints that i had!

  • i LOVE LOVE LOVE this video!

    1. the detail you put in was incredible, i know absolutely what you mean about all the tiny moments, hermione appearing drunk, etc.

    2. you are such a DYNAMIC charismatic speaker - i wish you hadn't apologised at the end cos i loved how quick and sharp this was!

    3. marry me harry

  • haha :) - I thought after watching this through before i added that clip - I came across as a harry potter hater - but I am a big fan - I just wanted to clear that up haha :) But yes I know what you mean!

That quick snippet of hermione haha - was she drunk - she seemed composed back at the castle with ms mcgonagle. (beckie can't spell) - hmmm :)

  • Well my sister is an 8 year old and she has watched all the harry potter's and I have read all the books...do you think its suitable 4 her 2 watch it? Is it like really that romantic and sexual? lmao

  • I thought the film was great, I have not read the book,

Understood most of what was going on although I did have to ask the person I was with who has read it to explain a few bits that were not made clear

  • Its not alcohol, its J20

  • Beckie,

I write for an online magazine writing articles about movies. I wrote a midnight review of the movie. I talked about how the music did not work at times, while other times it did. I also talked about how all the actors had really nice moments throughout the film.

My next article is about what was missing from this film and if it mattered or not if it was. If you like I can post a link to the article when it is finished or just e-mail you (through YouTube) when it's done.

  • I've never read the book, I thought the film was good, but I didn't feel that a lot happened. It was very chop and change, like scenes had been cut out, nothing was really explained hence why now I am planning to read the book. I liked the added comedy though, not a lot of it in the other films...

  • I have read all harry potter books multiple times and I felt that too many vital scenes were left out of the movie to make me appreciate it. The director tried to change too much from the book in efforts to sell it and it didn't work for me.

The joke shop scene looked excellent but was cut so short it seemed pathetic. My aunt is usually really good at following along with plots in movies but she didn't understand it at all.

  • I agree with everything you have said in this video. I felt so sorry for this kid sat next to me at the cinema; as my friend and I were saying on many occasions "what the hell! thats not in the book/ Why is this happening" Etc.

  • Thanks for telling us the little things about it. cuz really i didn know who the half blood prince was and y. it was confussing. lol. but thanks. :)

  • lol. i noticed at 6:11 the window changed lol.

  • I do agree the whole harry not being frozen by Dumbledoor, but it does raise alot of questions for people who haven't read the books about Snape. Why he didn't kill Harry at that instant etc.

I also love the staircase scene, very good cinimatography and comedy.

The film was one of those that I thought wasn't amazing...but it didn't crash and burn.

  • I am disappointed they didn't explain the Half Blood Prince reference in more depth. But prehaps that's being saved for parts in the next film, you never know.

As for the absense of the DA Deatheater deathmatch (sorry, couldn't resist) they cut it out because they didn't want it to match the Battle of Hogwarts too much.

  • the part where they all pop out of the house stairs that part is funny becuse they all hear Harry's owl and they wouldnt stop popping out so it was like "harry!!" "did i hear harrys owl?" "is harry here?" that is soooo funny i loved that part

  • ignore the question at the end of my last comment,it's kind of a rhetorical question,I know I should see the films and I will.

  • I haven't read the books so I can't pick faults but apparently the burrow scene was bad. I can't even remember when the burrow scene was but hey ho.

For you to have to watch the film once, then read the books and watch it again to see faults/flaws proves that the movie couldn't have been THAT bad :P

I loved it you see- but my estimations were right that the storyline would stray off the tracks to introduce better effects & more characters

  • I have never seen any of the films or read any of the books,is that wrong?I feel I should at least see the films.......should I?

  • the starting and the ending of your video are well funny, and the rest in between interesting(story of olding with harry potter)all this with a perfect timing.

  • they missed so much out about tom riddle! in the bit with Slughorn memory Tom riddle should have looked like the Tom riddle in the second film. they dont look the same >:(. I loved the bit in Slughorns office and Ron falls of the back of the sofa. I feel the same way about all the littler kids watching the film. I went with my brothers girlfrind Nevine and we had to que outside behind so many young veiwers. When Dumbledor got killed harry should have been against the wall. SoManyThingsWereWrong!

  • I completely agree with everything you've said. I had a massive rant to people I know about this, and I'm glad you agree with me. It was a great film, but I was also very annoyed with all of the points you've raised.

  • No Way!! I never realised Tom Felton played Peagreen in The Borrowers!! :D Lol!!

  • I feel the same way with Malphoy. Did his act SO well. Draco? Yes, he is 'cute' even tho he looked like a man. I wanted to give him a hug, too, 'cuz he didn't have a choice

Also, you should imagine the dissapointment of the Twilight lovers (sorry HP fans. No spam. <3) They did SO MANY things wrong with the film and I can see a MASSIVE ammount of things wrong with just the previews of New Moon. They even got Bella's cake wrong! I don't like it when people change the simplest things in ANY movie.

  • Malfoy.

Sorry, harry potter related spelling mistakes really bug me Dx

  • That was random!!!

You do know that obsessed Harry Potter fans such as myself would find "They even got Bella's cake wrong!" very funny-sounding. : )

I'm so obsessed I am reading this whole comment list!!!!! So far I am more than half-way done!!!!! < : O One Hundred and Fifty-Five right now!!!!!!

  • I meant to comment on imtheclassnerd BTW.

    Great username!

  • you havn't fixed your HP glasses yet then becks :D x

  • I have read all of the books. :) I have to say it was pretty good, some of the changes annoyed me, but it was good. Oh, and correct me if I'm wrong but... I do NOT remember the Borrough (I spelled that sooo wrong) being burnt down...

I agree it's gotten darker, but so have the books. If you noticed the last book was very dark and almost adult. However, I grew up reading Harry Potter (and other such fiction) so as a child it never bothered me,

  • I have never read the books so thank you for telling me all the bits they didnt put in the film. I agree with everything you said about the film. I LOVE YOUR DUMBLEDOR COSTUME!!! bye bye xxx :D

  • i agree with everything you said. i suad almost all of that.

  • i completely agree with everything you said! after i watched the film with my family i had to explain various things to my parents because they didn't read the books.

when i saw the first harry potter movie i was about 8 or 9 just like you and i was so scared about the smoke thing which was voldemort. i looked away, so i also think this film was a bit too scary for younger children.

  • Comment removed

  • Thanks for explaining the half blood prince, thingyyy. I didn't get that at all when i watched the film :)

  • I think the problem with the movies is mostly that they can't come close to showing everything that happens in the books in a reasonable time. Well, reasonable for the short-attention span of people today anyway. So they condense and cut things out, and often times end up focusing too much on one thing, or not enough on another.

  • Yes , I agree with everything you have said. I have not read any of the books , but i have seen all of the films and i was a little bit disappointed with harry potter 6. it was a good film , But it wasn't as good as the other films , I Think they added to much love and comedy , missing out on important scenes. But i did enjoy the film And i will always love harr potter.

  • gutted for all you obsessives, it's a movie, they can do what they want. So enjoy the movie as the next part of the chain of movies of Harry Potter, and Enjoy the books as BOOKS for Harry Potter. And move. the. flip. on. There are people who dont read, but ENJOY the harry potter movies, And then theres critical book readers like you that slate the movie and annoy the people who enjoyed it. I read books, but i have never read harry potter books and i probably never will. But i like the movies.

  • @ LozAura: I believe the real fans, not the ones who watched the movie because it was hugely popular suddenly, deserve to rant. It's OUR opinions, as this is yours. But if you don't want the movies 'ruined' then DON'T LISTEN.

  • beckie.

all of the actors/actresses ect... Ron,Herminy,Jenny,Harry and all of the other ppl. r in their 20's.

  • Its spelt Ginny, But yeah,, :D

  • yea thts wut i mean :P

  • Also, it's not Herminy it's "Hermione".

Did you read the books? This reminds me of when Victor Krum couldn't say Hermione's name right at the Yule Ball.

    "Hermy-own" : ) ****

  • Awesome video,

I agree with everything you said but

wasn't Harry and Ginny's first scene together at the burrow when she tied his shoelace before the attack?

It was amazing but they did miss a lot

    I still loved it :)

    xx

  • i dont really like harry potter and this kinda puts me off going to watch it now.

  • also you're .. 2 years older than me, which means when I saw the first Harry Potter film in the cinema .. i was about 7, i was terrified of it back then ! i can only imagine how small children feel about them now ...

  • ohhh! see I hadn't read the book and i was wondering why Snape was the Half Blood Prince! It makes sense now, you're so right, they should have made it more clear in the film!

  • the movie wa okaii but i wish there wa lyke more action too mmuch love n romance scences 4 me tbh n i didnt understand the film so is tom riddle voldemort im so confuzzeled ??x

  • i completely agree with you.

i've not seen it myself but i've seen a lot of clips and extracts. and the weasley joke shop seen where Ben Shepherd was in.

i've not read any of the books. i don't like reading much. i'm trying to read number 1. currently catching up on the films, 4 and 5.

i grasped the idea you were playing dumbledor. is that real facial hair? kidding :D

i love listening and watching you rant on, Beckie!

    <333 xxx

  • I Saw It!!! IT IS SOOO COOL!

  • After 5 previous HP movies, and countless other film adaptations of famous books, I've learned to accept that there will ALWAYS be something missing. ALWAYS. :]

I agree with all of your points, I noticed some of them myself. I also came out of the cinema with a feeling like the cast is itching to get on to a new project, re-invent themselves & do something new. I don't know if that was just me, but I feel as if the films are beginning to drag a little. I will FOREVER love the books though!!

  • only problems i had with the film is they never talked enough about missing people, the fight at the end and stuff that they are find hard to explain in the 7th film but everything else did not bug me because it is only based on the books so over all it was an awesome film

  • oh and i was 8 or 9 when i saw the first film i did not find it scary but that is maybe because i knew what was going to happen

and i think i depends on the child if they will find it scary or not my sisters are 11 and 8 and i would take them to see it

  • I went in having read half of book four - not knowing it was the fourth book - and reading the first book - I read up to the fluffy chapter - so I did not know the end when I went to see it.....

I went with a group of kids my age - and I loved it - it was sooo cool - and harry/hermione and ron were roughly the same age - to see kids playing the main roles was great!

  • yeah i loved that they were kind of my age too. =)

  • WOOOO the part with the little cottage was filmed really close too me !!!

im going to see it soon and im only 12 hope i enjoy it =D

  • YOU HAVE AWESOME HAIR

  • I agree with you. and i also think it wasn't as good as i expected it to be, most of my friends said that too, but yeh was a brilliant film! =)

  • I really did like the movie, but there was a lot missing, as there always is. The attack on the burrow seemed kinda pointless... and the actors are getting too old... there is NO WAY that they could possibly be sixteen! Dumbledore's death was done really badly I though... I cried so much in the book, but they didn't really make his death that big in the movie... They should have shown the funeral. If you haven't read the books, you would be lost watching this, luckily I've read the series 26x :D

  • i agree with you on the younger children watching it thing.

but, i also think it accually depends on the child. i was about 9 when i i say the 3rd film, witch was fairly scary for some, but, i didnt find it scary at all. my younger brother is now 10 but he dosnt want to see the new film, which i see what he means but if it were me id wouldnt really have a problem.

  • how can somebody think that was not j2o you can seee clearly. i dont think ur even drinking it either!!!!! j2o is juice. it's very nice accually! just think before u cmment.

  • I do not mind about the movie. I watch the video because Becky is lovely. the difference between the force of love and the evil in the world gets bigger as the story proceeds. maybe Becky likes to perform some scenes from the book or from the movie. and maybe Becky likes to give her opinion about the message behind the story of Harry Potter.

  • hey beckie do not fret i've watched it twice lol. I lurve your hair its so cute lol. I'm still recovering from d of e i can't run yet lol and just btw tom felton is not cute he is gorgeous

  • lol. 'it's ok ginnie harry pottar is here!' i dont know why i found that funny. i really want to see the moive. i am a fan. but, most people r saying that it's not that good. i don't care! im still watching it!

  • you missed out something that i thought you might have mentioned... there is a HORRIBLE little lack of continuity at the start when Harry and Dumbldore go to Slughorn's house... When they first arrive Slughorn is wearing a blue PJ but once Dumbledore 'fixes' the house he's wearing a purple PJ... Now I dont know if that was deliberate or if there was a specific change over that i simply just missed because i was actually told this by my dad who noticed it not me.. but yeah =D

  • You've mentioned some stuff I had noticed myself and many other ones I hadn't. I agree with most of your observations.

I liked the interactions of the three main characters, something that I sorely missed in the fourth movie. I think the death of Dumbledore was treated much too lightly.

I still like the move a lot and I'll probably see it two or three more times.

(Your portrayal of the drunk on the sofa was hilarious!)

  • I totally agree with you on the kid issue I jumped 5 feet out of my chair when that hand came out and grabbed harry from the lake in the cave....NO WAY that wouldnt scare the fudge out of little kids.

  • I agree a hundred and twenty five percent! :-D plus, the children thing, yeah! When i was in the cinema, the kid behind me, EVERY SINGLE MINUTE, asks her parents "what's going on?". It's a bit sad. I wish i could have sat with her and told her the whole story and how they messed the movie up.

  • I haven't actually read the books, but I do have the first five movies on DVD, haven't seen the sixth yet. I'm a glutton for spoilers! Don't worry, I already know a lot of what happens. Wish I could say more. The Dumbledore costume is a riot :D

  • I totally agree with pretty much all of this. Great review, and I'm totally in love with your Dumbledore costume. :)

  • I haven't read the book, but i understand it... and i have grown up also with the harry potter films, after i get the 6th and 7th DVD i will have them all, i was probably only 4 or 5 when the films came out, but they weren't scary then, i probably watched it when i was 6 then continued to watch them all, I LOVE HP IT IS ONE OF THE BEST SERIES (i think) EVER!!! haha xxxxxxx

  • I remember him when he was in the borrowers with the big curly hair.... i don't like milk haha x x you make me laugh beckie that was funny xx

  • yes!i wasnt the only one who wanted to give Tom Felton a hug. he broke my heart! i loved the borrowers.:D

  • i agree with a lot of your points but i think that the harry potter movies are AMAZING

  • well i finally watched harry potter yesterday and i havn't read any of the books and you are right i really didn't get what the "half blood prince" meant and i also noticed Harry's lenses. and i also agree that everyone was to happy during such a horrible time. but great review over all :)

  • The thing about their being so much humor and joyful stuff in the 6th film, is this is really the last film they can include happy things, you know? Because there is so much death and negativity in the 7th book/film. I guess they just wanted to give us all of a final laugh and and end it with a brilliant and slightly depressing bang. I'm hoping, anyways.

  • i havent read the books. only the first ive read. but yeah when i watch the movie im so confuse. i stop being confuse like towards the middle. xD

  • okay so i should warn you this is a legit three comment responce! (i hate the limit)

i have to agree. i mean i went to see the film, and i loved it. i think mostly because i was so mad at the fifth which i thought was terrible. i think they still need to get the balance right. the fifth film was all fighting. they cut out the harry and cho romance completely (if you can call it romance. mainly we'll call it a date) and stuck to the DA. this film was mostly the romance and love side. cont.

  • I completely agree with your frustrations about the things they left out of the book. I mean, it's one thing to change things here and there but there were some crucial details that they left out! I still understood everything because I read the books, but my parents and sister were completely confused as to what the half blood prince was even about because they didn't focus on it really at all. Also,I didn't really think the chemistry between Harry and Ginny was very good in their scene either
