@MrAuburn26 Pintail 40 sounds like the way to go. A little more space for your feet and a little more flex, that never hurt anyone. The pin 37 is a possibility also but I would say go for the 40.

@iman4949 Usually gas money and the places to stay are the most expensive pieces. It's great to not have to pay for a lift ticket like you would snowboarding or skiing so that makes it a lot less expensive.

Also a lot of the best roads are in areas where there aren't a lot of people so it is easy to find a camp site, or a cheap place to crash.

Usually between 800 and 1200 is a good budget for 3 or 4 people for a couple of weeks (not counting food).

Considering your height and weight, I would recommend that you check out either the Apex 34, Derringer 28 or a Malakai 40. You can go with the Apex 37, it just might be a little bit bigger than you need it to be. Let us know if you have any other questions!

it doesn't matter how much you weigh for your board really, it depends. Don't get a bamboo series board if your afraid of it snapping. I would recomend getting a riviera with a tail so you dont go too fast and once you get the feel for longboarding you can get a speed board and rip up some streets.

@Akidvid im 6'3 and 280 lbs. My first board and still my only board is the Sector 9 BHNC board. Great for hillbombing and what not but its pretty good to me. It barely bends on me and nothing has broken on it. If your really worried about things snapping or something, try hillbombing boards Because there stiff.
