Well you mentioned nothing about price earlier, but ye it's quite expensive, the main point I'm trying to proof is that American V8's aren't necessary better then any other V8's. I think the SLS is quite reliable, it's pretty new so it's hard to tell, but it's a Mercedes which of course stands for quality. But who buys a supercar thinking about reliability? I'm not doubting the Benz, but if you take corvette for example it's pretty cheap, not only in price aspects, but also in quality.

ok, but have look at the interiors....the Shelby looks and feels like its made from the same materials as a McDonalds while the Benz is about as clean, sleek and well built as a Deutsche Bank tower. Shelby is good bang for you buck though.

@Storm7289 The benz is far from 100K. That C63 was around 70K new, still a great deal more than the GT500 which was about 40K new?, where as the Z06 vette would cost the same as the Benz. Only benefit to having the MB would be build quality. Vettes are powerful but they fall apart.

@DJK290 Not sure where you got Mexico, because my C63 is built in Stuttgart, Germany. But I will give you the benefit of the doubt because there might be other AMGs built elsewhere.
The parts are made in Germany, but they are shipped to Mexico where they can fund the building for a lower price. All Mercedes Benz in the US unless privately imported are built in either Tuscaloosa, AL or Mexico City, Mexico.
With the exception of the E-class and the SL series (S, R, K, etc).
Now I can't say "YOURS IS BUILT IN MEXICO, PERIOD." after all, I have never seen your car and was not with it during building, but it is what Benz/Daimler claim for North American M-Bs.

They're almost always giving different 0-60 and, quartermile times...but, for the most part..., they're pretty accurate. I agree the AMG is pretty much just as fast maybe slower by a hair. But it cost alot more. AND this year the stock GT($40,000)is running high 12's similar to what the old GT500 ($70,000)was doing . If i had to choose between the AMG and the new GT it'd be a hard choice. I'm a mustang fan but i love luxury cars, especially one that can keep up with a stang.
A friend of mine has a Shelby gt500 , stock and he raced a C63 AMG (457 hp) and ha has been killed by the mercedes !!! Both cars stock , the mercedes is a lot better !!

I agree. I think Mercedes detuned the C63 on purpose so it wouldn't outperform the E63....which costs twice as much. In Canada AMG is now offering a sport pack which increases the C63's hp to 480. There are others, Brabus, Evosport, MKB etc that offer the ecu upgrade with headers for ~520hp.

Well, the C63 comes with a lot more than just a big engine under the hood. If it just a fast car in a strait line that you want, anyone could just get like a used eg civic and dump k20 in the hood and run 12s all day, all for about 10grand or less. When you pay mid 70k dollars for a C63 you are getting a whole lot of shit, you get what you paid for.
It's not just the luxury bro. I doubt the mustang has six piston calipers with giant drilled and slotted discs, a tuned suspension, lsd, staggered wheels, incredible stabililty and then some. There was a lot more attention to detail put in the C63 than a mustang. Drive C63 for a month as a dd and then switch to a mustang, then u will notice the difference big time. Overall it is just more a car. Trust me meng, its worth its price tag.

Okay, I could buy those handling modifications and STILL have a lower price tag. Just saying. There is a guy in SCCA AutoX who uses a Z28 (A4) and he has all handling mods. No power modifications except a lid. He dominates with ease.
For example if I wanted to buy an EXPENSIVE ass car hell I'd just go and get a ZR1. Dominates on the 'Ring, pulls 10 sec passes STOCK, and is just a good all round car. Ir doesn't even cost over 110k lol.
Good luck finding a ZR1 for $110K. I live 45 mins away from Bowling Green, KY (Corvette Factory) and the dealerships here are marking them up at 130-140k.
The Cobra had IRS btw, lol. There are some pretty cool Mustangs out there. Especially some fast as hell Foxbodies. Now THAT is if you want cheap power.

Look around the MB and BMW forums where they compare the C63 and M3, they always praise the C63's interior and list it as a PRO for the C63 when comparing it to the M3, also I have never seen any comparisons in auto mags that say otherwise either. Also, C63 has a 6.2 liter and if you don't know why they put 6.3, then maybe you are just some "kid" who doesn't know his cars.

I would put money on the C63 if it also had a tune and the same mods. You are also forgetting that the Mustang is a 2 door coupe designed for this and the C63 is a 4 door sedan. In other words, this modified GT500 should walk the C63 hard but it didn't.

Unless you live in Germany, I would say that you do not need the performance these cars provides. I do not know how large your family is nor how old you are, but I do not think you need four cars? The parts are made in Germany, but they are shipped to Mexico where they can fund the building for a lower price. All Mercedes Benz in the US unless privately imported are built in either Tuscaloosa, AL or Mexico City, Mexico.
With the exception of the E-class and the SL series (S, R, K, etc).
Now I can't say "YOURS IS BUILT IN MEXICO, PERIOD." after all, I have never seen your car and was not with it during building, but it is what Benz/Daimler claim for North American M-Bs.

The new 5.0 does that in 4.3secs(in which, beats the BMW M3)but, for a sports sedan, that's very good! Personally..., I think, the Infinity M56 is better. It out performs the E550 in almost every catagory...but, I like Cadillac and, Lincoln so, I'll take a CTS-V or, a MKS EB.! Lol.. ;-)

They're almost always giving different 0-60 and, quartermile times...but, for the most part..., they're pretty accurate. I agree the AMG is pretty much just as fast maybe slower by a hair. But it cost alot more. AND this year the stock GT($40,000)is running high 12's similar to what the old GT500 ($70,000)was doing . If i had to choose between the AMG and the new GT it'd be a hard choice. I'm a mustang fan but i love luxury cars, especially one that can keep up with a stang.

I agree. I think Mercedes detuned the C63 on purpose so it wouldn't outperform the E63....which costs twice as much. In Canada AMG is now offering a sport pack which increases the C63's hp to 480. There are others, Brabus, Evosport, MKB etc that offer the ecu upgrade with headers for ~520hp.

Well, the C63 comes with a lot more than just a big engine under the hood. If it just a fast car in a strait line that you want, anyone could just get like a used eg civic and dump k20 in the hood and run 12s all day, all for about 10grand or less. When you pay mid 70k dollars for a C63 you are getting a whole lot of shit, you get what you paid for.

It's not just the luxury bro. I doubt the mustang has six piston calipers with giant drilled and slotted discs, a tuned suspension, lsd, staggered wheels, incredible stabililty and then some. There was a lot more attention to detail put in the C63 than a mustang. Drive C63 for a month as a dd and then switch to a mustang, then u will notice the difference big time. Overall it is just more a car. Trust me meng, its worth its price tag.

Okay, I could buy those handling modifications and STILL have a lower price tag. Just saying. There is a guy in SCCA AutoX who uses a Z28 (A4) and he has all handling mods. No power modifications except a lid. He dominates with ease.
For example if I wanted to buy an EXPENSIVE ass car hell I'd just go and get a ZR1. Dominates on the 'Ring, pulls 10 sec passes STOCK, and is just a good all round car. Ir doesn't even cost over 110k lol.

I rather have an M3, softer materials..feels classier..now im not gonna lie..i LOVE the AMG gauges...its looks pure AWSOME...but other than i despise the rest. my opinion...i rather save an extra 2 years for the E63...interior just looks so much sharper..

Look around the MB and BMW forums where they compare the C63 and M3, they always praise the C63's interior and list it as a PRO for the C63 when comparing it to the M3, also I have never seen any comparisons in auto mags that say otherwise either. Also, C63 has a 6.2 liter and if you don't know why they put 6.3, then maybe you are just some "kid" who doesn't know his cars.

@gixxer450 wow i just had voice my own opinion..apparently you can't seem to handle it cause you have your had so far up mer ass you can't tell the difference between daylight and nightime...2008-2009 had a 6.3..and 2010-11 has a 6.2....sorry i didn't type all the out for you...and oh yea look up something call motortrend...which also has M3 kicking the c63 ass.donkey...and i'll send a link regarding the horrible interior you can't seem to accept..i love the charger srt8...but i can admit when
