  • I hope you don't let games like this deter you, we're eagerly awaiting upcoming games :)

  • butt chin will do that... !!

  • That's too bad yo, you'll get em next time

  • wow just goes to show how hard deity is. without organised/financial it's just too hard in some situations to maintain a large empire. you did make a few micro errors like working merchants instead of 3+ commerce tiles but apart from that it was just bad luck.

  • @the0th I would have done pulled it off had I not been daggered by Alex. It's just one of those things that happens sometimes.

  • Great entertainment again. Only way out I saw was to try get another great spy and use the one u had for a golden age. And yeah still taking cities when u striking is a bit silly. Thx for great videos tho.U can get more anarchy by changing in and out of religion too...

  • @274392 I completely forgot about the religion, however I would have made greece mad doing that.

  • Wouldn't it be preferable to destroy some of his cities instead of capturing them?

also, you could've built a palace in the middle of your empire, cutting your cost.

  • @yellowfish555 No, it wouldn't have been preferable, that would have given alex even more land. Moving the palace takes a lot of hammers.

  • @Chris67132 a palace is not much more than a courthouse (160 vs 120) , but I'm not sure if it can be rushed like a regular building.

and a question - is the worst thing that can happen to you on a strike is to lose all of your units ?

  • @yellowfish555 The reason I didn't build that stuff is not enough whips or chops to do it and I needed the population to get me to currency, which would have solved my budget problem.

Yes the worst thing that can happen is to lose units. If you don't mind not having any workers / army then you can stay in deficit permanently.

  • Other than double gold, that was a crap start, but an impressive horse archer. And good 'ol Alex is always gonna backstab you.

Technical question - Even though Alex was pleased, both his vassals hated you, so don't the diplomatic relations average out to neutral, which makes him likely to declare with no other target present?

  • @yeppersff I don't think it works like that with the computer. I think that's only the case with what the computer thinks of you and your vassals. I could be wrong though.
