this is interesting. I watched kamen rider .... the one with hte space rocket for a head. and he says uchu kita! basically means, space is here? so yattekita is combination of kita with yatte. if i got this right, it is (to do) (be here)?
This is a useful one. I hear native Japanese say these words all the time but I am often confused as to the meaning. I will have to come back to this vid several times so I can practice. Thank you so much for this vid!
Yeah! I was annoyed that I didn't learn this until a few years after coming to Japan and studying. It is actually really common! The thing is that unless you KNOW it you may not NOTICE it. Know what I mean?
Oh cool, had some trouble to understand the meaning of "やってくる" these days. Looked it up and found the same translations as UzumakiMatrix, but they seemed not to be good equivalences. And thought then it's one of these て-form build-up idioms I have always problems with to unterstand.
Anyhoo, just wanted to say thank you both, helped me a lot. ^^
Great lesson!

why do you sometimes use "wa" and sometimes "ga"
i'm still new to japanese.
ZuluSmasher 3 months ago
@ZuluSmasher
Simple answer: ga is more like THE and wa is like A.
ga adds emphasis. Very useful when you have two nouns in a sentence.
