I was a teen in the 80's and it was unreal! The sad thing was that we thought things would always be like that. No internet, you first heard (and saw) new music when MTV broke the new video (yes, they played videos). Then you would wait anxiously to go the record store and get the album the day it came out. Unlike today's disposable music mentality we studied every song, every lyric and every piece of artwork that came with the record (or cassette). It was a way of life and it was magical!

I'm glad to have grown up to this music and partied hard to it too. If Dokken had came out nowaday, I don't think the kiddoes would be turned onto it. But damn! The video for this song was god-awful; why I totally appreciate this upload for just showing the record cover. This is how we all developed our image of this song. A great friend that helped me get through teen angst/alienation by nurturing my sense of self respect. Dokken's singing and Lynch's guitar solo are perfect; lyrics perfectly vague/adaptable. Def Leppard's Bringin' on the Heartbreak was a great friend too for breakups.

I love Dokken, but I'm a guitarist and you find that non musicians think Don Dokkens voice is too weak for a 'real' metal band. On the other hand Blackfoot had a great singer but guitarists don't like their thin lead guitar tones. Why Riot never became like Sabbath or Maiden is still inexplicable, I

While I was browsing tube socks, I could hear aroused asthmatic breathing behind me. I turned around to see a slightly sweaty dream in sweatpants and flip-flops standing there.
