This looks like a great game, wish I could get it. But I only have a Xbox360.

Although Infamous has more real mechanics like not jumping miles, and having to slowly climb, It does only have lightning whereas

Prototype has more over-the-top action and more choice of power, which some people prefer more.

Well you can consume people and take out their effects and abilities like call in air strikes, use different guns.

Also In Prototype you can use destructive vehicles( Tank,Helicopters etc), dont know if Infamous does too since I havent seen any vehicle gameplay in any trailers/previews.

The same goes to Infamous, just with the eletricity abilities he can glide,ride on rails,throw those eletric bomb and etc.

In Prototype he can use devastator attacks like those rising huge spikes from the floor and shooting out those hundreds of tentacles out his body.

And riding on rails isnt really a vehicle. Though I do like that effect, the same for the telephone poll wires, that looks cool and fun ^^
