Great wedding! I was going to do the Matrix theme for mine, but was talked out of it. So we ended up having the traditional wedding. When our 5 year anniversary comes up I am going to try the Matrix theme.

On the note of marriage licenses, I agree that the state should butt out. Can you break the marriage contract with the state without getting a divorce?

The way I heard it, getting that marriage license was their way to discourage and tax inter-racial marriages. There was a black law book that required any inter-racial marriages to get a license.

In GA, their is "common Law" marriage. If you co-habitate for 7 years, you are essentially married.  I know several couples with this arrangement.

Well what if one of you changed their address for like 1 week or so(to a friends address) and then changed it back a week later, aka "moved back in together"? Wouldn't that nulify the 7 years in a row thing or is it just seven years total? Maybe one of you could have your mail go to a p.o. box then the govt would have no idea. OR you guys could just keep your individual last names seperate and lives as "FRIENDS". Well that's what you would tell the state. You're just "FRIENDS". ;)

this is somewhat true freespeech. you are on to it. a birth "certificate" is the key. the deffinition of certificate is a document of ownership and whomever holds it is the owner. ie. the state. this is where it all begins.  just like property "deeds". who holds the deed, the state.
