Adding Album Art to your Ipod

@SuperSkilledGamer yeah i know messed my ipod, try these though, i restored my ipod (only cause it started making 3 of every song, but that might have helped not sure), deleted all my songs, then added them back, then add the artworks that were missing from my ipod. Thats what i did and it worked.

I hate itunes too. I ripped CDs and the artwork showed on a few songs and not the whole album, plus some of the songs were split from the album when I put them all in the itunes library. Their help section is horrible too.

@shanrobs The iTunes system isn't as intuitive/user friendly as some of Apples other products. My guess is they would people buy their music from iTunes vs. use it to play ripped CD's.

OK so the easy way to do this for several songs at once is as follows:

1.) Select all the songs in the album.

2.) Select "Get info" from the right-click menu.

3.) There's a placeholder for "Artwork" in the bottom right corner of the window that pops up. Tick the checkbox next to it, then click in the box and paste the image.

4.) Click "OK". This will apply the album art info for all the songs you selected.

My ipod just fucks up, albums are not like going in the same album part on the album, same with the artwork for each album and song, just fucks up. Its really pissing me off. Also just go to google get the picture and paste the picture in your itunes with the album.(the spot down the left or w/e.

theres an easier way. instead of saving the google image to ur comp just click the song in ur itunes and drag the pic from the enlarged google image to the bottom left of ur itunes were the album work should be :)

if you ripped the entire CD in one shot, you only need to apply the artwork to one song. The entire album will be represented by the album artwork.

If you have a collection of songs from an album - collected over time. These will most likely be seen as Singles - and you will need to apply the album artwork to each song.

thanks so much - missing album artwork was really annoying me. I've found that if you delete "extras" in the album title such as "EP", "Disc One", "Import" etc etc then the artwork is instantly recognised. For example, Everything But the Girl album "Walking Wounded (Import)" was not recognised, but deleting import so it showed as simply "Walking Wounded" meant iTunes instantly recognised it and I could download the artwork.

its real simple if you dl music that already comes with album art then all you have to do is hold the shift key and highlight all the songs in the chosen album and right click & chose 'get info' and then open the folder with album art in and drag it in, simple as that. this is a great video btw respect to the uploader.

Out of about 3 only one worked the other 2 not only does it not apply to all songs but I sync the mp3 and the albun art is also not on my touch but it does show in ituns when i click group with art work...

You may have some songs from different rip sessions. There are at least two things that may lead to this. It could be as simple as one program applies caps or spaces and another doesn't or that there are data tags that are too different between the songs. Both of these will result in some songs being listed with album art and other not.

thank you for answer my question. I wasn´t using itunes, I was using sharepod, an alternative software for ipods. When I switched to Itunes, I finally saw the album art I added to my mp3s. Whats important is that you don't download a Thumbnail image. You need to click on the link that says "See full-size image". Then you should get the full resolution image. If the image shows up real small in your browser, then you should search for a better image. Anything 300x300 or better.
