GTA IV Resource usage help!

go to gta 4's root folder..

ur crack is located there...

rght click on it and create shortcut..

now there's a copy of ur crack..

now cut it and paste on ur dsktop..

now u can simply repeat the following steps..

try this

make a

1.shortcut of Launch GTA IV on desktop

2.right click on it, click properties, and in target just simply write these commandline..

-availablevidmem 2.0..it should be like this... "C:\Program Files (x86)\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto IV\LaunchGTAIV.exe" -availablevidmem 2.0

run this program as administrator + enter spacebar once before u'll then proceed with these commandline..it really fixed the graphics as it is now being support by ur RAM memory & it's

@razmin93 when i try doing this it says something about C:\Program Files (86x)\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft AutoIV\LaunchGTAIV.exe specified in the target box is not valid.make sure the path and file name are correct

Your pc is ok , but u have poor graphic card , u may have to buy a 512mb ati or nvidia card

my limit is 59 MB :S and I use 250 for the lowest quality!!! but why didnt that make any problem in any other game?!

-renderquality 0 -shadowdensity 0 -texturequality 0 -viewdistance 0 -detailquality 0 -norestrictions -availablevidmem 12.0 -percentvidmem 100 -DX9 /low -renderquality 0 -frameLimit 0 -nomemrestrict -noprecache -minspecaudio -safemode

if you use this shit you will get over 202 / 1487 MB resource usage

it also fix your texture problem

honeslty guy most ppl have problems with this game on a normal computer,they say dell/alienware is the best because its custom made for gaming but you guys should look up computers/laptops with good hardware and like i have a intel core i5 64bit laptop with 8gb ram and i can play if i put every setting on medium/some high

Even when I type in -norestrictions my limit is still 56MB.. And I am using like 250 when everything is on low.

Makes no sense :S

my graphic card is Nvidia GeForce 6150SE nForce 430 and only have 210MB resource usage and my gta 4 works very verycslow please help me

I have the same prob and these r my specs

Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce GT 525M (it says I only have 58MB resource usage :c )

RAM: 6GB

Processor: Core i7 @2.0Ghz(I know its below recomandation but GTA still works)

System Type:64-bit

HI GUYS I HAVE THE SOLUTION.

Only you have to do is download the last drive version.

Go to nvidea.com and search for you videocard

or ati.com if usa a ATI board.

DOWNLOAD THE DRIVE AND ENJOY.

i have the same problem, i've bought a notebook, with a videocard 560m, 1gb 128bits.

i play COD black ops,Fable 3 and others with good graphics, but GTA IV. i can see the persons, my avatar, and cars, only.

my resource usage is 256/59 mb

i try use de 'sandy bridge' and my videocard. but the result is the same.

Create a shortcut to GTAiv on your desktop, right click the shortcut and choose properties. Copy this command to the end of the target. Make sure you have the dash in front.

-nomemrestrict

This will turn off any memory restrictions for the game
