  • Brilliant just Brilliant

  • loved these guys as comedians but more as artists

  • I cried the first time i watched it ... a loooong time ago ... it still does it for me !

  • i had forgotten how much i loved daas.

  • Man, what a looooong Into.

Song starts at 5:12 but is possibly the best cover of this song EVER.

  • It's their whole skit from the big gig. They allways did a bit of standup than a song.

  • Seriously, what is wrong with you guys. why aren't you putting this stuff on i-tunes. you're costing yourselves a fortune.

  • Icon and Last Concert are both on iTunes

  • Love this, its the best ever, moves the soul.

  • Nice

  • Lol, Paul ''Scumbag'' McDermott

    Pauls a Legend.

  • i may only be 15 BUT THE DOUGS RULE :)

this cover of Heard it through the grapevine

    ever

have you been watching the New GNW???

i only wish Paul Would sing :)

  • Yes I agree - I've been watching the new stuff too and keep wishing Paul would sing!

  • Definately the best version of the song I've heard.

  • Ahhhh I can't get over how stunningly attractive Paul is! Love his intense stare and penetrating eyes, so gorgeous. And he's got so much talent!! wow, obsessed much?

  • paul has the best voice in the world. his voice sounds so beautiful. all three of them sound like angels when they sing this song.

    =)

  • Andn then you see them sing something like Mummy Dearest and you see them for the devils they are.

  • Giggle

  • The best EVER version of that song.

I can never hear that song without comparing it to this.

  • I completely second that.

If it were possible I would so marry Paul's voice.

  • Best...everytime neighbours here ask for this!! lol :-)

  • ok but if you ever get a divorce, may I marry his voice next? Seriously though, this version of this song and this particular version by the boys is in my books, the absolutely BEST !! - I really do not think anything could ever top their voices and the strength it exudes. I remember seeing this when it aired all those years ago, it stopped me dead in my tracks, I remember holding my breath even and my friends in the room did the same. It's actually a moment I will never forget. Peace!

  • OMG!! That was brilliant! It's amazing how they can switch from the bluest of blue comedy to the beautiful harmonies highlighted in this song. They certainly "make this song their own!" (to quote a phrase!)

  • wake up to yourselves people its a bloody jeans commercial!! *LMFAO*

  • When I was a mere slip of a child, I used to stay up too late watching the Big Gig. I remember this going to air, it was that kind of moment in my rather small life. Thank you for posting!

  • mmm i love pauls voice so beautiful

  • Wasn't this the first time they ever sang a 'mainstream' song on The Big Gig? I remember watching it in 1988 or 1989 and everyone was talking the next day about how beautifully they sang

  • Yeah, and it threw everyone. Personally I think they do one of the best versions of Grapevine around (if not the best)

  • It sure did throw people - these pottymouthed, offensive young men showed everyone they had the voices of angels.

  • I've heard you and so many others gush about DAAS on the tripod forum for so long but this is the first time I've watched/heard their stuff. Oh. My. Gosh. I think I'm in love!! That was so beautiful!

  • *laughs* DAAS kicked arse. *hugs them* I've got more to upload when I get the chance, Including an episode of DAAS Kapital.

  • Such a good version

  • I know! I actually prefer all their covers to the original...I'm a sucker for a good three part harmony.
