At the time the sins were being declared sins, Sloth was originally split into 2 parts. The first part was basically apathy and included all the qualities that we attribute to the word "Sloth" today.

The other part referred to people with depression and similar afflictions because such conditions were not considered diseases in those times, so society saw those people as being lazy.

Mind you this information is pared down by the letter limit, but I like spreading intelligence whenever possible.
