for those of you bitching about touching the chest you only do that if thats when your arms meat 90degrees to your back he did every thing right he just has long arms for his body frame im the same way im 5,11 my brother 6,2 i have a 3 inch reach on him not every ones the same 90degree is a rule in power lifting competition rule books just and fyi your couches that tell you to touch your chest normally dont know shit about proper edicates of weight lifting
how is he cheating on depth? I mean, its a hell of alot harder doing it his way rather than bouncing the weight off your chest like an idiot. Their could be more control deep, but their is not one thing wrong with his actual depth. Its an incredible lift. IMO, its not the most conducive form for hypertrophy, however, for the nature of the lift, this is pretty incredible control considering the weight.
@xTheFormlessOneIGF1 You're comparing bad to worse. I'm just speaking from a powerlifting standpoint. He'd gotten a red light for sure... (not the worst lift and considering the weight, still impressive - he just has room to improve his form).
Barbell bench kind of sucks for hypertrophy anyway. I like it for building strength, but weighted dips or even dumbell bench (at least for me) does way more for building mass in my pecs.
I understand where you are coming from. I am a bodybuilding background, so, believe me, I am using as little weight as I need to so I can use incredible form to obtain maximal stimulus for hypertrophy. For my personal standards, this lift is sloppy. Thats just my form. I am still impressed and tip my hat to this guy, not trying to take anything away from him. Incline bench, slight incline dumbell, hammer press is all I do for chest. Not a fan of flat bench.

Very impressive, but, IMO, kid should drop 30-50lbs and get perfect form instead of cheating on the depth. Great work either way, kids a monster
