In the spirit of constructive criticism, I think it would be better if you didn't sing the whole thing in a "subdued" voice. Although it could be what you are feeling .... gentle and tender ... especially at 2:55 you have the opportunity to really build, but you keep singing almost at a whisper, and it' detracts from your presentation.

u've got a great voice, but i think what made your cover better was the emotion in the voice. there are a lot of singers out there who are accurate with their notes. but lack of emotion kills it, especially with songs of this kind.

And, of course, your minor improvisation sounded great too.
