hey plzz awnser back i have a normal screen connected to my macbook but it shows everything big and on the display setting is it on the highest resolution what do i need to do ?? (sorry for my bad english :$)
@beenn15 I thought the audio was okay, i've heard MUCH worse. Granted, it would have been nice to see it in HD, BUT he did a nice job. And this is coming from a die hard Windows user.
but its not that bad at all for me I would go to an apple store to test it. also you have 14 days to test just beware of the restocking fee.. hope that helps
this product is not worthe it. it has a pitiful 1000:1 contrast ratio, moniters these days costing under 200 quid could give you 80000:1 contrast ratios. it has a nice response time of 14ms and a ok brightnees of 330cd/m2. seriously look around the market before you head straight to apple without thinking
Really cool. But sooo, expensive. I've got the HP 2159m not packed with as many features but also has bright view technology and is really nice. At £180.00 it's alot more cost effective than the £649.00 for this. Though if had the cash for it, i'd get that.
@IsaacMaganaMusic if you get the new mac mini (2.66ghz C2D 8gb ram. 500gb storage, you should be fine. and its alot cheaper and more energy efficient then imac.
@IsaacMaganaMusic if ur a graphic designer, u should know which one is better with the specs on apple website..mac mini would not be a good choice if ur running intensive graphic softwares..
You've probably already figured out that when you're mirroring your macbook screen to the cinema display that it uses the resolution of your macbook and thus looks worse because it's stretching the image out more with the same resolution. If you keep mirroring off and have an extended desktop you get the higher resolution capability of the display.
I know this is unrelated to this particular video, but do you know if 64 bit Windows 7 will work on a 1st gen 13" unibody macbook through bootcamp without any issues, or is it easier to opt for 32 bit for less problems???
I know it works perfectly fine with the Pro's but the original unibody macbook of last year never had 64 bit infrastructure as listed on Apples site as a compatible device nor has it been updated to say so. Though I've heard a few people have been able to install 64 bit Windows although with a bit of tweaking through terminal when a incompatible message comes up telling them they can't install it before the hack??
thanks for the vid, how is the reflection issue with the glossy finish on the monitor? I know a lot of people have complained about it, interested to hear your opinion because I too am a photographer
i think this video is pretty good man, especially after i found out it was taken with the iPhone! i have this display and i noticed alot of backlighting bleeding around the corners of mine though :(
dude i forgot to mention that everybody who said the videos sound sucked, LIED i have a macbook and that was great sound but i went on my moms dell from 2003 and tryed it with very crappy speakers and that shit was nice audio
Nice 24" screen, very reflective though. The larger screen is not as sharp because you have most probably not set the screen to the native resolution (1920 x 1200). I don't know if the laptop can output at a different resolution on the laptop screen and external screen. BTW, I can hardly hear you, too much echo!
That's a awesome display can't wait for Apple's 30" inch LED Cinema, next time don't have the ceiling light hitting the display and have the camera guy zoom in and out but all in all this was a great video
I'm going to try and find one of these (24 inch models). your review helped close the deal.

although during the day at the office it would be difficult to get the room that dark without people bumping into each other
I love the resolution and brightness but yes I have have to use it myself and see if it'll work.
thanks again.

would it be a good idea to get the LED display and the mac mini?

that would be good
wrightwayphotography 2 years ago
hey could you clear something up for me? Can the mac mini do almost everything the iMac can do?
PLxFTW 2 years ago
@wrightwayphotography what would be better?... an iMac or a mac mini and a LED Display?
IsaacMaganaMusic 1 year ago
@IsaacMaganaMusic
from all the comments on my question and a little reasearch, a IMac would bethe best choice.
PLxFTW 1 year ago
yea in could but its not as fast or powerful as a iMac
wrightwayphotography 2 years ago
@PLxFTW NOT really because, if you do, you might aswell get yourself an IMAC. in total all that money would equal to the same as an imac
iDemetrii 1 year ago
@PLxFTW or you could get a 21.5 inch iMac for for less ?! or about the same price!
juanieTV 1 year ago
@juanieTV for less
liammac18 1 year ago
@PLxFTW It could be a good idea but then you would be spending $1400. And the iMac would be faster
