  • hey where is mr krabs? there is plankton! and squidward!

  • Hahahaha the babies looked cute when they trying to swim.

  • fuck the babies are too fucking cute

  • Wow! Again something I have not seen about squid! Squid mating/courtship rituals, unlike octopus & cuttlefish, are not violent at all! It's a dance to see who dances the best together! Octopus & Cuttlefish mating rituals involve males beating eachother to serious injury. Yet another sign that squid are AMAZING!!!

  • They are not squid they are cuttlefish. Squid tentacles are longer and the carapace is more streamlined.

  • @stanmincha1

These ARE REEF SQUID! How come no one on here can tell the difference! I've seen these comments on Reef Squid before! Cuttlefish are far fatter, and have the octopus's W shaped eyeball.

  • They are not squid they are cuttlefish

  • where can i get one

  • Paradise is on earth, enough said.

  • BABY SQUID <3

  • Who the heck can dislike an amazing display of nature's beautiful creatures? Sometimes I wonder about the sanity of my fellow humans.

  • aww, the babies are so cute!!

  • @spatzilly I do not think that only religious people allude to images of heaven or hell. Read Dan Brown, "for heaven's sake"!

  • hmmm fish with what looks like feet, FUCK YOU CREATIONISTS , looks like evolution is proving you wrong

  • @vivisection001 The handfish isn't exactly proof of evolution in action, as it isn't at all related to the process the evolution of land vertabrates. Any fish could evolve feet-like fins if it was favored by natural selection.

  • 2:31 LOL! Tiny dancing squid :D

  • The handfish is amazing.. i've never seen anything like it :O

  • 02:32 SOOO CUTE!!!!!!!

  • the baby ones are cute >w<

  • I love sea life and I've stopped eating fish because we're simply clearing the oceans out. :(

  • 0:45 whats this poliwag is evolving?!

  • cute ! !

  • Naww the little ones

  • The hand fish; a fish so fucking lazy it would rather crawl then swim.

  • your jiking right? you won't relly mate witha a squid

  • 0:30 A walking fish is another proof of EVOLUTION

  • squids r cephalapods not fish

  • THE BABIES!!!

  • The kelp forest is beautiful!

  • BBD and Sir David is DA BEST!!!!!

  • those baby squid are so~o cute! But their parents had no fun at all...

  • 2:42 AWWWWWW :))) <333

  • The little squids are so cute. How the little squids were made is very boring. Poor adult squids.

  • ha women squid get facials

  • first time ever seeing a baby squid lol

    weird, thinking about it..

  • first example of cum swapping in nature.

  • their sex certainly isn't very interesting

  • The baby squids are adorable! Almost makes me want to be able to swim so i can go an be friends with them :D

  • I like the bouncing squids!

  • its amazing how the Handfish is probably what the first amphibians looked like when the started to evolve

  • little squids are so cuuuute want one!!!!!!

    the handfish looks wow weird

  • looks like Earth millions of years ago!

  • Murlocs are real.

  • wow! great video! I have never seen a "handfish"...thats cool!

  • Love this video. Handfish are Cute! :)

  • wow a walking fish! never seen that before!

  • The squids eyes are unreal looking!

  • I think the hand-fish is almost ready to walk on land. Can you get baby squids in a household aquarium?

  • real creative name "hand fish" but it was the cutest of all of them because it was so impractical.

  • They are so cute!!!!!

  • Is that David Attenboro?

  • lol talk about a quicky

  • @Devngel well..we aren't the only species that have premature ejaculation...

  • that display officiallly won me over and i shall mate with a squid.

  • makes me feel like human males are a little lacking these days in their wooing rituals :P

  • @toxictits losers in japan have already been drawing humans and squid mating, or should I say raping.. I pray you are not a girl? :P

  • @toxictits Ah so that's were Ika Musume came from! :P

  • I wonder, does anybody knows if squid can change their EYES color too? :@

  • they cant , their eyes dont have the same luminous organs on teir eye

  • thank you for your reply. I find this squids and chameleons who can change their colors to adapt tot heir background absolutely fascinating. People and most other animals can't change their skin colors unless they have surgery or an illness, yet these squids can.

Do you think those squids might have been the human ancesters who through evolution adapted their colors to the place where they landed becoming monkeys with different fur coat or just chameleons out of time.

  • no because chameleon or squid dont have any human or monkey dna and the chameleon has a diferent form of changing their colours they use the light to produce colours (just like the efect of the rainbow) and the squids use their brain power to change their colours (i dont remember how)

  • Quite interesting comment you make there miaufun. However, dna evolves and before the apparition of monkeys, there must have been something else, a more primary life form. the very first life form on earth was a bacteria which developped, there is NO dna in common between that bacteria and human in the 21st century. The link might be held in what is NOT in common between these squids and chameleons until the monkeys, after it's easy. The missing evolution dna

  • @PauleQueenie Actually, there is common DNA with all life forms, including human DNA with bacteria DNA. Our cells have DNA identical to bacteria. We even have DNA showing that we are related to plant life. What miaufun was asking is if we evolved form a modern squid or chameleon, but we all evolved form a common ancestor long ago and the squid and chameleon developed in different chains of life like different branches on a tree long after evolution kicked off.

  • @miaufun Also, by opening and closing cells called melanophores, chameleons change their skin color. By opening and closing cells called melanophores, squid change colors, too. Same process, but one does it faster and one does it a bit slower. The SAME process.

  • ur right I just didn´t rememberd (since my stupid cable doesn´t have animal planet ¬¬)

  • @PauleQueenie There is a common ancestor for all life on earth. But, man didn't evolve from a squid like creature or a chameleon type creature, they are separate species with a different common ancestor. Man was already underway from a mammalian lineage when squids and chameleons had already come from their lineage, so man did not evolve from a branch of life that developed "after" everything already got underway with many species developing side by side with each other.

  • @PauleQueenie Also, to make myself clear, we all evolved from a common ancestor long ago and that means ALL LIFE.

  • Thank you and Happy New Year 2010 truvelocity. Unequivocal statement you made with the speed and the ability the ACTIVELY change their colors through their melanophores where humans can only rely on a passive change of color through their melanocytes, providing them only one color for adaptation to sunlight. Yet I do wonder, about their intelligence, chameleons and octopuses change color for numbers of reasons and humans cannot. Would melanocytes and melanophores have intelligence as link?

  • that made no sense...

  • which of your 4 words make no sense? Or is it that through evolution, the loss in the ability of actively changing color gave rise to the development of other cells and brain development. Proportion wise, human brain I think is more developped than those of chameleon and other reptilians and amphibians. Prime survival perhaps of species was to blend within the environment, genes evolution permitted this blending to disappear and instead people designed clothes.

  • no I was referring to your comment on humans evolving from squids? or somehow once being able to change our skin color? despite having no need to do so

  • beege19, either lower animals or humans only change color for survival (or their own protection). When in the summer the sunlight reaches the skin, melanocytes are activated passively and what people call sun tan is obvious in people with any skin color. That is a sign of adaptation to the environment. Evolution prove that long before the homo sapiens walking on two legs, and their predecessors (chimpanze) the reptilians and amphibians were predominant. Many of whom do change color much more.

  • So basically, the only thing you're really saying is:

"Humans can change colour too... It's called tanning."?

  • NO human can't challenge color actively any longer (that why the coats people wear), intelligence has taken greater space in their brain space. The bubbles of water in sparkling bottles go upwards naked from hair or scales or hair, on their way upward, they coagulate or vanish.

The gaz gather chemicals they encounter and create greater organisms or vanish.

Changing skin color is a skin disease whereby is most profoundly an unstabilized gene inasmuch as cancer or Alzheimer...Evolution

  • You mean that people used to change colour on purpose long time ago? How long time ago are you talking about?

  • NOt at all. think of this perse:.,;:[{(

U see the changes above yet you know they belong to a keyboard. yet you do not know they also belong to evolution over NEUROLOGICAL development. Every letter, every symbols represent human evolution. Each losing scale or feather or hair yet presenting something DIFFERENT to the world. If only scientists could only think in terms of atoms and polarization with infinite elements missing to Create the change in color and evolution. They would have the cure.

  • Cure for what? What's the deal with atoms and polarization of infinite elements? Is this some obscure quantum-physics theory or what?

Let me get this straight, as far as I know, exposure to sunlight change human skin colour both directly and through evolution. That's what I think. Now just give me a straight answer, please: What Are You Talking About?

Because I seriously can't see anything consistent and comprehensable in your comments and I believe few can.

  • I'm sorry if I hurt you, but I just got increasingly frustrated by only getting more and more confused with every comment I read. Unlike you, I'm not aiming for the Nobel prize, but perhaps you should get used to explaining things more. Like atoms, or polarization with infinite elements. I'm a first year physics student, so perhaps it's a field I might understand something of. And what do you mean by neurological developement vs evolution?

  • Basically your an arrogant garbage talking uninteresting tit. Keep workingon your nobel prize. lmfao

  • lol

  • those squid are BA

  • I knows what I want 4 christmas...A BABY SQUID!!! They're sooo cute :D

  • they DO look cute

  • I shall call him Squishy, and he shall be mine and shall be my Squishy.

  • Asshole, you don't eat squid? then you're not human

  • So Cuuute!!!

  • wow delicious baby squid!

  • OMG i want one of those little Baby Squid soo cute

  • Quite amazing

  • BBC always have spectacular underwater videos.
