I don’t know why this incident occurred, but there are also many good things about this lady. This Lady is not only a pastor , but she is a home health coordinator in the South Oak Cliff Community. She does referrals for needy disabled people to be place in assisted living facilities and follow up to make sure everything is in order. She provided for our family a 5000.00 hospital bed when my father was ill. She does check up on families to make sure everything is OK.

I bet a lot more than 10% of Americans are atheists, they merely say they are Christians because their family is Christian or they don't want to say "atheist" because it is almost a bad word. In some places, your life could be ruined if the townsfolk found out you were an atheist. If you asked people "Do you believe Jesus was the son of god who rose from the grave?" My Pastor leads a growing congregation that loves The Lord, feeds the poor, and visits the elderly. He will not however be featured on the news unless he fondles a boy. Even if he did, my faith is in Jesus not any man. So all the anti church/anti God people who love these stories can act like it's proof there is no God or religion is bad, but that logic makes as much sense as Mrs. McGriff and you know it. I bet a lot more than 10% of Americans are atheists, they merely say they are Christians because their family is Christian or they don't want to say "atheist" because it is almost a bad word. In some places, your life could be ruined if the townsfolk found out you were an atheist. If you asked people "Do you believe Jesus was the son of god who rose from the grave?" I bet a lot more would admit they don't believe it.

Don't get me wrong, I think religion is all bollocks and it preys on people's fears and insecurity but I think there is a higher nonbeliever population in prison than those numbers reflect. The reason is simple: virtually no one in prison wants to admit they are an atheist (for parole board reasons). As Sam Harris puts it "atheists have a pretty bad PR problem." So they say they "Found Jesus!"

Same with less educated people. And the insane. Plus, if you think your god is behind your every action, or at least will forgive every action, then you may be more likely to commit crimes.

...I disagree, I think it is causation. However, it is not that being religious makes you dumb, it is that being dumb will make it more likely that you are religious. Or, more importantly, being smart will make you less likely to be religious because smart people are much more likely to realize it is all bollocks.
As for the religion-poor-crimes thing, that is probably just a correlation.
