Hi, I am planning to make a solar oven and gluing aluminum foil to the sides of a box....do you know if the glue gets too hot from the cooking if it will cause toxic gas to contaminate the food? is there a certain type of glue i should use?

I would like to suggest that if possible you go to a car wrecking/salvage yard and for a few dollars get a side window from a wrecked car, because the glass is safe in hot sun and being thick hold the heat better. You can also use the silver coated insulation board inside the box.

@angelbe88 no, paper has to get up to 451 deegrees F to catch on fire chicken only has to get up to 180 F to be cooked, so all that it needs to do is have a temp above 250 - 350 for a long enough time and eventually the chicken will be done and no fire will start. it's not going to get over 451 F no worries.
