The tempo is pretty slow, but the choir does a wonderful job of sustaining it, and the overall effect is simply marvelous...especially those long descending lines starting at 0:37 and 3:28. Bruckner achieves some astonishing harmonic effects, considering that the entire piece is diatonic (innocent of either sharps or flats). Altogether, a wonderful performance!
My high school sang this song an whoever wrote this song is amazing, This song is so pretty, an it makes you feel like your in heaven for a second(: very well done.
@ChristopherRobin17 hmmm, that's kind of a tough one, cuz there are quite a few. I do like Daemon Irrepit Callidus (very simple, yet very fun) and Hvalite imia Ghospodne (Pronunciation is difficult, but its beautiful ^.^) wat about you?
VERY well done. There is SO much to like about this performance.. Diction..good Blend ...good Interpreation..Excellent Intonation..couldn't be better Tempo (for me) ..just right Flow of music within the parts..nice (U guys do listen to each other). So it seems churlish, but I do have a couple of reservations.. not quite enough passion. It was a bit too well mannered! ..and it needs a really "Slavic" bass line. Perhaps the recording just didn't do the basses justice. Thanks I enjoyed

Haha! I'm going to the same auditions tomorrow! I'm from the DHS choir and I'm an alto. Holy crap, I am absolutely terrified about these auditions! I hope you do well =D

I find people often take it to fast.

This started out really good and in tune
But it went very sharp... I could hear the Sopranos struggling a bit on those high notes
But this is very nice regardless.

You really did a great job. For me your version is just a bit to slow but there is always room for different interpretation.

I feel bad at 0:07 in bass solo
donnypsmugm 3 years ago
Well if you know the piece, the basses are the only ones singing, and I believe there are either only 3 or 4 of them in the choir.
Why do you feel bad?
ToxicPopsicle 3 years ago 3
Because it feels out of tune. But. maybe the problem is in my earphone.
donnypsmugm 3 years ago
We're singing this in choir now. This is a really amazing recording of it! I love listening to it!
