I NEED HELP NOW!!! ONE DAY MY I BOOTED MY PC LIKE NORMAL! I signed in to my admin accout, ( i have vista btw.) and the welcome screen took a little longer than usual. at this point i though, "ok, no biggie." BOY WAS I WRONG. The welcome screen closes and all i see is a black screen. There is a little window that says, "Windows Explorer has stopped working. holy shit. SOMEONE HELP PLZZ!!!!

@killergeek123 you have missing .dlls but if you can conect to the internet with that computer and download the right missing dlls and put them in the windows folder it might work again

if u messed with your registry rename shell. in hkey local machine /software.rename it to ur explorer.exe

hey i need some help, every like 30 minutes of using my pc, my bar at the bottom disppears i can see all the desktop items but if i minimize something , ill be like closing it... i tryed what you did, but it opens the folder "My Documents".. the only way to fix it is to restart my pc, or sign out fixes it sometimes, but it gets annoying and i lose what im doing, please help

Well i had a problem like my Explorer.exe showed 100k KB i was worried about and than when i restarted everything went ok.Thx for the help.P.S. I'm using Vista Home Premium.

i can see my taskbar and the startup but not the applications runing

and if i clik something it say open with and wen i clik expoler it say open with run ....save as but nothin works so wat u told me also didnt work but i clicked browse the a file and explore but i need u r help

If you can see your taskbar then explorer is working already. Do you mean when you open a program it is asking you what program to open it with?

it like a 2 part problem

the first one is wen i have running progrms out nd i minimize it it vanshes so if i want to open the running programs i have to use ctrl alt dlete or alt tab

Well the programs are open but you can't see them in the taskbar...Maybe you can disable the quick launch toolbar to clear the taskbar and see if this works, otherwise there is a more difficult fix.

when i go to open a file on my desktop it opens a window, but the window is hollow. and its called windows explorer instead of the actual file name.
