It is an OK Tribute band that has rights to the original name.. I mean they don't sound all that bad, but you could tell they ain't the original.

The audience I think is being taken 4 fools & supporting theives. + the fact that Wayne Nelson & Steve Houdsen were slimebags for doing what they did 2 Birtles, Shorrock & Goble. Farnham was basically an American Idol REPLACEMENT singer. Wayne Nelson joined the band because of fool Goble. Goble wanted Wayne 2 sing his songs instead of Shorrock. Shorrock left. Remained Birtles, Goble & REPLACEMENT players like Wayne. Goble wanted out, got out, then Bitles got sick & was NICE ENOUGH 2 let Wayne finish touring. It's not like the ORIGINAL LRB members said "Go ahead and get a lawyer & then steal our band name and songs." That is what Wayne Nelson did and why imo he is a fraud

Well they actually did, there was an argument and the case went through alot of different courts. Glenn Shorrock and BSG cannot tour under that name anymore because of that. Wanye Nelson is just a greedy little rat trying to get a piece of the big cheese.

If i hired sleazy lawyers to obtain the beatles name and their different copyrights. Then set up my own band and play all of their music and make alot of money. While calling myself and the rest of my band "The Beatles". How would you feel?

I think it's a a fraud if you can't mak eyour own music ans you live off the name of a band and the writters of songs that made them a success to beging with. Then to go and get a lawyer and keep the orignal guys from using the name of the band and playing their songs. It's called FRAUD and that is what Wayne Nelson is imo. Dont have a clue how this lineup got the rights to the name, and frankly dont care, but if I had to guess, perhaps the orignal ones that people are crying about ventured out for solo careers, and left the band and the name behind?

If i could obtain the copyright and performing/ recording rights to the beatles name. Would i want to ask pete best and a few of my friends to reform the Beatles? Sorry John, Paul, George and ringo. The (new) fab four are back. Nelson like best was once a member of the beatles.

Heck like Nelson i could try sue paul McCartney for any possible copyright breach. Just to keep the all the money to myself.

Shorrock has his own band with alot of the real LRB members called "BSG". They cannot even release a dvd/cd with any refference to LRB. Because Nelson will sue them, he doesn't want anyone to find out that he is a fraud.

Wayne Nelson has been there since 1978. He sang lead vocals on a bunch of their hits. He sounds better than the orignal guys that I've heard. Not too mention he's a great guy, as is the rest of this band.

He sung lead on Night Owls only and helped out with vocals on some others Briggs & Formosa were the best gutarists LRB had.

First of all, let me apologize for my inaccuracy on which year he started. It was in fact 1980. He sang lead on the bridge of Take it Easy on me also. So that's at least 2 lead tracks. And as far as being crap, you may have your opinion, but you can't deny he's very talented. And for your attitude, I think you are crap. I'm a LRB fan, loved the music over the years, and still do. So what upsets me is when I hear him sing songs that were written and recorded before he was even in the band and morons like you react as though they are his, it doesnt seem right. As you know when the original founding members (who created LRB) recently started touring again, they wanted to use LRB somewhere in their new band name but Wayne Nelson threatened legal action if they did. That stinks!

I met them in 1976, They were recording at Armstrongs in South Melb. Nearby,a Taxi Co ran a 24hr burger joint. I went there & bumped into them.

Photo on the After Hours album taken at Blue Dolphin Chip Shop near Armstrongs. Also Where Daddy Cool filmed Eagle Rock Movie Clip a 4 or 5 years earlier.

life's ok. The global finance problems don't seem to have hit us as hard as some other countries.

I only got to see LRB a few times, mostly they were living in US back then.

I saw them support Deep Puple in 75 and then in 78 on the same bill with Santana and Fleetwood Mac, again they were sensational. I have the reunion Album by Birtles, Shorrock & Goble called full Circle - nice live versions of their original songs. I'm listening to it as I type :-) hope all is well over there.
