This movie leaves you kinda unsatisfied if you ask me, you want him to take a shotgun and go leeroy on the fuckers in the movie, myself I wanted it but I understood the ending, but I think he should go down with honor instead of getting shot down by an ordinary chinese fag gang with hormone overdouses and those racist jokes got kinda annoying after 30 minutes... well, the plot was interesting though, and it sure had a meaning but it just didn't satisfy me...

Would you rather have him go in guns blazing and get arrested later? The ending was great, he had them shoot in cold blood on an old man and get arrested for a long time for it. He knew he was dying and he didn't want to die of age... he wanted to die knowing he did something good in life. This movie has a requirement of understanding and a complete understanding of the character.

Yes, but the way he died was good since, he was dying anyways from lung cancer, and since all the guys shot him, they all got arrested which made the town more safe and Tao's family home free. he felt like he should make up for all the people he killed in North Korea so his logic, I guess, was that he was doing good by saving a family from murder and getting the gangs off the streets.
