God, I cried so hard in this scene. I thought that they wouldn't be able to make me cry in the first episode of this season, but god, they sure did. My mom was in the room, so I was trying to hide it. XD I was leaning toward Team Damon during the summer, but this scene made me go right back to Team Stefan. I was a stelen fan on the first season and i became a delena fan after i had witnessed damon-elena chemistry on the 2nd season...but after viewing this scene, it's like wow elena really belongs to stefan...so stelen or delena? doesn't matter to me...Those guys have excellent chemistry ON SCREEN, but Nina and Ian have this as well OFF SCREEN, which Nina and Paul don't have..even if It will be stelena in the end, it would be Nian in reality.

Even as a hardcore Delena fan, I can respect the Stelena fans enough to say that this was a beautiful scene. Stelena and Delena both have chemistry, but different kinds, and some, like me, prefer Delena. However, it bugs me that Stelena fans say Elena doesn't love Damon. She does. Kevin Williamson, the freaking writer of the show, said so himself. "She does love both of them, but it's what she does about it." THAT'S what Season 3 is going to be about :)
