Unfortunately All of those Pre-Islamic Practices are still present in Muslim societies.

@ByChoiceMuslim One could argue the reason for that is because these people have merged negative backwards elements of their own culture in with Islam and then try to label everything they do as being Islamic in nature - FGM, arranged marriage, child bridge marriage, honour killing etc. Find a custom of the culture, dial up a hadith, get a bearded old man to nod his head and voila you've made a haraam cultural practice halal.

@kawaiigardiner or you could associate it with the fact Islam grew so fast across the asian continent that many cultures kept pre-Islamic practises. Like you said they just made it halal
