The chick at 50 seconds is very well you know, :) Secondly pauls voice is thinning kiss should focus on Gene Songs, and just use for the essential classics.
It was my birthday when they played the VA Beach show (Poison opened) and I'm proud to say I was there to see this. Not so proud that that was my first ever KISS show in spite of being a fan since 1976. The way I see it, another KISS performance means the circus is coming back to town. In spite of the occasional rain, it was an amazing experience!
at 2:58, i had always wonder why the second half of that lick sounded different..... he fucked up a bit on the solo and they edited in a different recording on that part...
Rock the Nation tour is one of the best tours ever, they played many underrated songs like War Machine, Tears are Falling, Unholy and much more. I think on the next tour they should use more 80's and early 90's songs.
nice to hear Kiss playing a Bruce Kulick era song, but Tommy kinda botches the solo during the arpeggiated section...Bruce was by far the best technically gifted guitar player in Kiss...sucked when they sold out for the makeup reunion and brought the least talented guitar member, Ace Frehley back in to replace Bruce. IMHO, Bruce was the best guitar player, Mark St. John was probably second, followed by Vinnie Vincent, then Tommy Thayer and Ace. Paul still looks and sounds great. He amazes!
@ChuckGreen68 Ace isn't the least talented, but I do think Bruce is the best guitarist KISS has ever had! Ace is 2nd, but Bruce was awesome! In fact the KISS lineup with Bruce and Eric Carr is the most talented lineup they have ever had in my opinion!
I love 80's Kiss bro, and this is probably one of my all-time favorite Kiss songs. I hear what you're saying about Bruce, but nobody comes close to being as cool as Ace. He had his own style, and yes, was sloppy at times, but rock-n-roll is not about technical prowess. The only people that actually care of about that stuff are other musicians.
Paul still has a good voice have you ever thought me night have a bad throat everyone gets them. This song sounds better album version compare to live
Gene crack's me up, it just amazing that these guys still have it after all these years, paul still is as hot as ever, and still can perform like he always has, these guys care about their fans, it's not like they need the money. That is just another reason I have and always will be a fan if they are rocking so am I, love you guys!!!!
Can't say I was impressed by this performance in comparison to the original song...something's up with Stanley's voice here; it doesn't sound too pleasant in my opinion. The backing vocals are a bit lacking too.
They just said that because is Tommy... If Ace screws up an 80's solo, nobody complains, dont get me wrong, i love Ace, but i think Tommy is as good as him
Agreed, the song just kindof sits there without the chromatic run-up at the end of the solo. Don't know if Thayer can't or won't play it, but it's a Fail without the complete solo.
lol i bet that if it was up to you the minute u started doing a solo in front of that crowd with a live band like KISS you'd shit yourself. dont talk, just STFU if u can't do any better asshole.
you gotta f*ing love the MILFs at every KISS concert...
