The shotel is a type of weapon called a sickle, and they are generally much shorter and have much more of a curved blade than scythes.

well if using a heavy weapon brought back the dark memories then oh idk tom UPGRADE YOUR STR 2 points to use the drake sword when you need to lol and also i suggest going back to blighttown AGAIN to get the weapons and armor you missed like the Laito katana(uchigatana with a draw slash feirce move), the whip(vampire killer) the shadow set(ninja) crimson set(curse resistant)
