I disagree with you on hiding curves- many of the women have belts,high waisted pants and one piece is even a corset. I think you're maybe overwhelmed by the thick fur he uses, but he counters that with thin fabrics that "cling" to the body.

I think this is what makes his collection strong, is that he is able to use the contrast between these materials to his benefit; he can dress the female body with extremely thick material, yet still remain feminine.

his clothes are just soo refined and me myself, i would NEVER wear anything like this. Though everything looks gorgeous, the dessins are extraordinary and you can see his love for special materials. It´s not really my taste, it´s a bit too dark OR its hiding the curves of the female body too much.

I love the clothes, they were original, beautiful colors, and shoes, the music help making the show some sort of hunted castle, and the models the witches or something, but I think that there is a lot of fur (i'm not against it), i think it was to much!! I think he thought " The dresses look boring, I know! i'll put some fur on them...wow they look relly great" Love JPG, but this, I think, was too much

While the show is a bit dull, the clothes are fantastic and chic (and isn't that the focus?). The colour is goregous - those reds and plums are particularly stunning. I love the idea of a sweater under an evening gown (1:15)! Elegance and comfort. It suits Jessica Stam's skin and hair beautifully, and look how the satin pieces are cut. Absolutly masterful; Gaultier has a masterful understanding of luxury and instantly creates desire. I wish his men's collection was a bit more like this.

You're right. The music heightens the mood surrounding the collection, and can convey the designers message much more effectively. I've always wondered how someone can look at a collection and apply particular music to suit it. I think it's an absolute art.
