i would sure rather have the hydros stop before i was able to face plant the loader. but hey john deere stop waisting money trying to show your shit is better but MAKE it better. cat and bobcat sell them selves because of quality why can't you?
They all have strengths and weeknesses. That's a good demonstration, but I work on steep slopes, in mud, snow, and rough terrain. Why don't they have a smackdown where you cross mudholes or rocks and timber. Do that with a fixed track like deere, bobcat, case, new holland, ect. and you'll either be stuck or won't have any teeth left from bouncin around the cab. My cat 257 b, b2, and new b3 is perfect for me. I do this for a living and have ran them all, big diff. in real world applications
I bleed green but have a cat 257(b,b2,b3). Deere and like track systems (new holland, case, bobcat, taka, mustang-all solid track mounts) can have great power and counterbalance on flat dry ground, but in the real world you work on slopes, in mud and snow, and rough terrain. Why don't they have an obstacle course with all of that for the track machines and have cat and asv there? Look up some vids of asv comparisons...no excuses in the real world, everybody has their strengths and weekness.
The Deere tips up too, they just change the camera angles so you can't see it. It's obviously a Deere commercial because they always compare apples to oranges to give them an advantage. IT's BS.
you deere haters are just sore loosers. all the machines competeing in this was very similar to each other if not the exact same just weight distribution and lift points are different. stop being whiney bitches. GO DEERE!
Deere Rocks! for an hour one afternoon. Then the soft aluminum hydro pumps (instead of Industrial Cast Iron) flex, leak, and eventually blow gaskets through the hydro system, making the Deere, well... expensive yard art. You are not buying a new John Deere built with 1970's John Deere reliability. You are getting a JD logo on a Harbor Freight machine. Unfortunately as are several of its competitors. Good luck in 5 years Deere.
Deere sucks eh? and i suppose the deeres unique boom arm design has ABSOLUTUELY NOTHING!!! to do with it's victory in this particuler contest.
i've seen deere owners actualy break their machines becuase the boom arm design allows them to pick up things that they really shouldn't be picking up. bobcats may look better on paper, but in the real world their fixed pivot boom arms are a dis advantage when picking heavy objects up.
rev the Bobcat up more!!!! they must have turned the releif down aswell Cats and bobcats much much better machines than JD Too bad john deere is cheating!!
I personally own a deere skidsteer and I have no complains its a good machine however they should have a competition to see how fast the operator can enter the cab, thats where deere would lose. Very hard gettin in these machines.
more counterwieghts wouldnt increase its lifting power if its already giving out on hydraulic power without lifting the back end up while trying to lift that load. as a so-called "cat rep" you would know that caterpillar designs these machines so that they wont lift a load outside a safe weight range.
SprinterD do you have any idea what your taling about??? The Cat picks up the weight but due to the lack of counterweight the rear of the machine is off the ground. If the counterweights were on the 297 it would have no problem picking up the weight and keeping the track on the ground. I find it funny that John Deere has to remove our counterweight to make their horrible skid steer look better.
Sprinter while your at it why don't you notice that the operators are very slow while lowering the block to the ground with the deere and not so slow when using the cat and bobcat. With the much weight any quick movement will tip the machine. This is elementary marketing on Deere's part. Hope they try harder next time. So when you post your next smart ass comment make sure you know what your talking about.
actually if you watch the lift segment it wont lift the load at all and the back doesnt lift. i run these on the daily pal and its a good thing that they arent overpowered. there is no point to having more power than needed. im a cat guy through and through. i wasnt being a smartass, just stating fact. i run a 297, 988g,h and d8,9 on a large gravel crushing spread and i guarantee i have more experience in the field with caterpillars products than most, and i love their machines, compared to koma
tsu similar machines, especially for the operators. bobcats are tough little machines, they can take a beating thats for sure, and you can keep the john deere's at the farm as far as im concerned. sorry if i offended you, but i do know what im talking about.
Notice how the narrator says "it" instead of "the driver". Obviously those are drivers who don't know what they are doing, or they're guys set up by JD.
Yeah, JD can do everything better *sigh* they have a secret black hole generator onboard each unit that gives the JD extra carrying capacity. it literally stores some of it's load in subspace skirting the rim of the black hole vortex. this gives it unlimited capacity. They state standard specs so as to not tip their hat to the rest of the industry as they want healthy competition in the market place. Also driving a John Deere causes cancer due to the strong sub-fields generated by the black hole
This is an ad for John deere. I would really like a true comp between the Case, John Deere, BobCat, JCB, and Cat with comparable size machines, and operators
It is NOT rigged... the tipping test is faulty, it's done with the boom arm fully extended, and on a ridged pivot machine like the bobcat this means the bucket is closer to the center of gravity, but as the bucket lowers it gets farther away from the CoG and so less weigth is needed to tip the machine.
with the john deeres design it actualy has a better center of gravity when the bucket is lower to the ground, also you guys knotice that the entire boom arm lifts up on the deere, this complex lever system is actualy much easier for the hydrolics to do. then it is for the hydrolics of the other machines with their simple lever.
whoever is responsible for these "demonstrations" is a complete piece of garbage. Unbelievably rigged... Cheating to show "dominance" makes you look like an idiot.
Interesting to watch, but after building my own Skid Steer from scratch I think it's better to keep the relief valve settings to a point that doesn't damage the machine. They are all good machines. The Caterpiller is adjust properly for the weight these machines are designed to carry.
why dont they use the biggest machines out of all of them like tha bobcat t870 and they could turn the power up on them
SuperSmokey817 1 month ago
That;s the deer's strong point, they are simply more powerful.
But bobcats are faster.
