I don't wanna insult Ocarina of Time. It's an amazing game. One of the best games I've ever played. But I am tired of people saying they wish there were more games like it. Why do you want that? If you wanna play through the same game, playthrough Ocarina of Time. Don't ask for a game like it like we got with Tp. It's better when a game actually brings new ideas to the table even if it feels nothing like the previous games.

I just find that Ocarina of time is the greatest game ever to my eyes because: the music is awesome, you get attached to the characters, the puzzles are challenging and you're proud after getting them. The gameplay is simple and fun.

Today I played OoT on my old N64 for the first time ever.

And it was absolutely WONDERFUL. (btw 18 years old now, fyi)

The thing the games of today lack, that almost all of the games from the N64 era had, is feeling.

Can´t really tell what it is that makes the difference, but it feels like the creators put more heart into the games that was created during my childhood...

Everyone has their favorites, sure, but I think it's safe to say that all 3D Zelda games have the same high quality and heart.

@19Szabolcs91 I think it is a better game just because of how revolutionary it was during it's time. First game with a targeting system, one of the best first 3d games ever, it's longer than most games, even today. The puzzles are still confusing today, it's just a lot more of a ground breaker than any other Zelda game ever has been. It set the bar for RPG's even today. It still stands up to many titles, even with it's out of date graphics.

@19Szabolcs91 Nah man I gotta disagree. I just played and beat Link's Awakening and SS for the first time, and that confirmed it for me, that the old games were better. OoT is widely regarded as the best for a reason. SS tried to needlessly extend the gameplay with boring quests. If the quests involved fun gameplay and actual dungeons, I don't think people would be complaining nor have such mixed opinions about SS or any newer Zelda.

I think the problem here isnt what we grew up with as kids, but the fact that graphics have really ruined games. Thats how i feal anyway, granted there are a lot of games out there graphicly that i love and can name my top fav games.. but for the most part its the graphics IMO that make games pretty bad today..

However i cant say that for ALL zelda games because i only played up to Majoras Mask before i grew up and got tired of Nintendo consoles and moved to PC games.

@1ownjoo2 I don't fully agree. Just because a game has good graphics, it won't be bad. But many times devs forget about gameplay and only care about the graphics. And it especially sucks when they concentrate only on the realism instead of making it look appealing. A great art style can enhance the experience. But there are exceptions. For example, Prine of Persia 2008 looks amazing and has great gameplay too (you may or may not agree, not everyone likes it).

Well i said that, some games with great graphics are great games, like Skyrim, Fallout 3, Farcry i think was good and at the time it had revolutionary graphics. Bioshock was good, Doom3 was pretty good i think anyway. But there are a lot of games where the graphics just ruin a game. So think that is part of the problem

@brooklynzkidd9 have you ever heard of project 64? it's a game emulator for n64 you can download any game for nintendo 64 and use the emulator to run it, it doesn't even matter too much about your pc speed it does not take up much space. look up on google (project 64 download) then (zelda ocarina of time rom)
