yes, a fine performance. but has anyone noticed how excellent the orchestral bass part is, providing the lovely rich and sold grounding for the soloist and the orchestra alike.
but then i was an orchestral bass player for many years; and may yet return to it
I cry every time I hear this song, and I listen to it once a day. I just love it so much. I'm just learning to bow, but I look forward to the day that I can play this beautiful piece of music.
I'm studying bass now in college and I can't wait for the day I can play like this. Years and years of truly dedicated practice. Brilliant stuff right here. God I love music.

This is fantastic. Wonderful to hear Gary Karr while viewing the score. A new way to appreciate the sublime gifts Gary brings to the written notes. Wonderful tone and musicality.

I remember this song from a concerto concert I played in. It's truly fantastic, especially when played like this!

It's good, but was it 1 tone higher than as written on the score?
Alexberryscarylovee 9 months ago
@Alexberryscarylovee Yes, the piece is written in G and the player is supposed to tune all the strings up a whole step.
