We had only one channel on TV in Norway that time and Derrick was the highlight every Friday evening:-) The funny thing is that Norwegian TV are showing every episode of Derrick on one of the other channels every day at this time;-) May he rest in peace. This song by the way was very popular in Norway too. It was one of the first singles i bought in the early eightees:-) Greetings from Norway;-)

I remember the Derrick-episode (well, partly anyway) because of this song... A teenaged girl was killed and 'tossed away like garbage', and her friends drew straws to see who had to avenge her by killing her murderer... Derrick and Herr Klein eventually arrested the one who drew the straw (a rather simple-minded boy with a good heart) and actually felt sorry for him... A sad episode, and this song was perfect for it.
