I was 8 years old when this first went out, I remember the yellow writing at the end and the charts compiled by the British Market Research Bureau, those were the days! When you actually cared what was No 1. Can anyone name the No. 1 right now?
@Feisty1967 Nobody knows or even cares, not even the young people. The 70's and 80's were the best! Almost everything since has been just a footnote in musical history.
It's easy to see why this masterpiece is consistently voted best record ever in UK polls, yet hard to believe, at the time of writing this comment, there are only 8 comments. Thanks for uploading. Brings back memories.
Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody is too complex music for my simple mind(i'm not british you see...). I like more their Radio GaGa (and Lady GaGa of course). But Jimmy Savile was really one of the greatest BBC and RL DJ.
@kourilo1 It sounds complicated, but of course part of it is pure gibberish and not real English at all. At times we also don't know what they are singing about!
RIP Jimmy

amazing to see in its original context. TOTP is all playback innit?

Queen are superb! I must have watched this TOTPs in 1976; I think I watched them all back then. Music now seems so soulless.

@hernhillrebel It was just a joke about Lady Gaga. But her 'bad romance' and ' poker face' sound good!

You know, that was a great crowd-pleasing show for New Year's Day, which is how it should be.

I just let the emotion of the song carry me away.

@kourilo1 Lady Gaga… If that's what floats your boat! She will be forgotten about in 2012/2013. What is Poker Face about?
