  • 1990?? i never heard of them til around 2002,and im 41.

  • This dude has issues.

  • This is a GREAT Version- WTF to whoever thinks its not!! I think it sounds like a mystical island in space a tiki hut for tortured souls fogged out over their fruity cosmic drinks

  • The best late-1980's alternative rock song, one of the main reasons why the early 1990's would got into being about grunge rock.

  • Perry a misguided NAFTA supporter. Fuck him and the NWO cronies he supports

  • I love the sound, it reminds me of my mis spent youth

  • very underated band theyr unbelievable live had the fortune of seein them ;)

  • when I heard this song when I was a kid I thought of it as a happy upbeat song but when I grew older and actually understood the lyrics it suddenly became a very darker song for me. I grew up with alot of people who did heroin and this song captures that longing feeling of wanting a better life for yourself. I still shed a tear listening to this

  • jane sais "i'm done with Sergio. he treats me like a ragdoll." she hides the television~sais "i dont owe him nothin. but if he come back again, tell him to wait right here for me, or to try again tomorrow! i'm gonna kick tomorrow......gonna kick tomorrow! jane sais~ "have ya seen my wig around? i feel naked without it! she knows~they all want her to go. but thats ok man she dont like them anyway. jane sais shes goin away to spain when she gets her money saved!~gonna start tomorrow....etc.

  • love this clip...i know its not the best performance of jane says...but thats the janes i fell in love with at 15 years old and dave looks so fing young!!!

  • is this song about heroin?

  • @monoclecobra , yes. It is widely accepted among JA's fans that the "Jane" in this song refers to Jane Bainter, who was Perry Farrell's housemate, and she was addicted to heroin (hence the name of the band, as well). The song tells about her addiction and her will to give up using.

  • @monoclecobra Really? Is that a rhetorical question? Yes, it is.

  • Gigi64marie1: yea....but the intro is the best part...do you know what he says?? ive been trying to figure it out..about a year now..lol. it makes the song..no? love his voice when he sings it too.

  • lordgout: are you talking about the jane says -song intro, or are you talking about that prior interview?? i want to know,,,,what the hell he says....in the intro of jane says..............!!

  • INEED TO KNOW THE INTRO LYRICS, BEFORE I LOOSE IT!! BEEN TRYING SO MANY DIFF, VERSIONS AND I STILL CANT NAIL IT- SOMEOME HELP???

  • @MrRichBiker ~jane sais "i'm done with Sergio~he treats me like a ragdoll. she hides the television~sais i dont owe him nothin. but if he come back again, tell him to wait right here for me or to try again tomorrow... i'm gonna kick tomorrow..... you can pull up the lyrics, or buy the cd~they are inside!

  • @noadvice101 thanks bro...but im looking for the INTRO...lyrics....he mumbles in the begging -of the song...i love it..i just cant understand it!!

  • @MrRichBiker i dont believe he says anything does he. i think hes just wailing away, using his voice like an instrument, hes quite good at it. love these sounds like no other

  • @MrRichBiker I've been trying to find out what he's saying as well. If you listen to the live version that is played on the radio, you may be able to make out "...my number one." But that's all I got! I'd love to know if you find out, and I'll let you know. =)

  • WHAT DOES HE SAY IN THE IN INTRO- PLEASE HELP!!

  • What he says at the beginning. Nations, boarders, divisions is what causes problems amongst people, and seperates beliefs and ideas which consequently cause arguments and even violence. You could say well everyone has their own opinion, but I feel that having ones own opinion ultimatly damages communication amongst people when it comes to solving problems, issues etc.

    Man I ramble too much.

  • This video is awful. Terrible video of this song. Trust me, I like this song. Awful.

  • Well, I have to agree that it is maybe not the best performance of this brilliant song - in my opinion, my personal favorite is from Hammerstein Ballroom in 1997, with Flea (and I love Eric Avery, I just think this particular performance was awesome)

  • I will agree that to me it was more authentic. The intro don't you agree, was way too long. Get to it already. But, it sounded much more familiar. Why is the intro's to long on all the video's I observe?

    Thanks !

  • This is one of the most sexy song ever written. The sexiest is velvet uderground Venus in furs ...for me

  • Yeah man, I know what you're saying, exactly the same here :)
