i am not trying to be mean. forgive me ,if i came across like that. they have glands on both sides of thier bottoms, they fill with toxins & some times get infected. thats why he is scooting his butt< it itches, &hurts them. after they are cleaned out ,he wont do that ,until the next time they fill up.dogs dont wipe thier butts, he has a problem. sorry if i sounded like a smart but. have a good one. That's normal for a dog to wipe his/her butt with the carpet. There's nothing wrong with that. It's in nature to be clean, even humans wipe their butts, don't tell me your glands are not working properly haha

errrm, no, my dog does that and we have to take him to the vets like every month, dogs do that because of their anul glands, I've even seen the vets pull out this gooey stuff from their bottoms and its something that many dogs have, but dog a good thing. The dogs bum will also start to smell when their anul glands fill up again.

Umm, it's not funny dude. If your doh does this, it needs to be taken to the vets immediately, there anul glands tend to fill up and it can sometimes smell fishy. Dude it's not funny, for us or the dog, it's actually painful.
