That was around the time Left WWF and went to GCW bragging about beating Bruno. Paid a wrestler to win the Mid-Atlantic Title and give it to him.  Got more of the Zybyzko years

@TrueTalkTV Yep the road warriors were heels during their stay in georgia championship wrestling.This was really when they first made it big before they went to the awa briefly,and then to the nwa where they stayed for years and were used during the most of the time there as good guys.

@TrueTalkTV Neither one turned Face.The LOD got back together with Ellering not too long after this.The Road Warriors stayed heels for a long time because they drew most of their heat when they started charging the ring and beating up the good guys.

This was The Road Warriors first time in Atlanta. Originally, Rick Rude was going to be Hawk, but they went with Mike Hegstrand instead. Ray Sharkey also trained Barry Darsow and Scott Simpson, who would become Nikita Koloff.
