This is honestly one of the most emotional DLCs in the game, highly recommend this DLC. The ending will crush you and even a Renegade Shepard will choose the Paragon choice in it.

Overlord was a very fascinating DLC to play, but the Human/A.I. hybrid was the creepiest sounding thing I have ever heard in my entire life.

@DarkProject I know because Karpyshyn, one of the lead writers of Mass Effect said that there will be a novel. He also said that it will take place after the events of Mass Effect 2. No one knows if giving tIM the Collector Base was canon.

@elacruisay11 He could have achieved the technology from the derelict reaper or the remains of Sovereign. The AI on board the Normandy SR2 is made out of Reaper technology. The books aren't supposed to follow any specific ending or anything. In other words, none of the endings is canon, you decide.

None of the specific decisions or endings in the "game" has had any effect on the books, the same goes for the other way around. The events in Ascension was only briefly mentioned by Tali but it didn't affect the storyline as a whole. Whether you choose to let the Council die or not, it didn't really have any effect on Ascension either. The book itself was supposed to delve deeper into the background of Cerberus and TIM.
