I suggest you send an e-mail to Nikon~ They are nice, I just ordered a battery for my old D1X and I am using D7000 as well but I haven't seen your problem before~ you can come and have a look my street photography took by D7000 in New Zealand ~
@jeyanthross That must be something wrong with the software? Have you tried to upgrade the software online? because I never heard about this situation on D7000~ I will try to ask some of my friends~

@xuebaihuli I have sent it to Nikon thrice . They have been helpful, but so far unable to fix the problem
