  • Oh dear.... Florida all state....

  • WE had to do this for allstate auditions. its hell. it may sound like an easy song to learn when you have someone teaching it to you, but when u gotta learn by urself, it sucks balls

  • @samtsuifan100 Sorry you find it hard to learn. What all-state group is performing this?

    BH

  • @ProfCabbage i believe it was for all-state in Florida.... because i had to learn this too.

  • English. Based on a poem by John Updike.

  • What language is this in?

  • @ValPalKellster lol it's english... really?

  • @XxbubblesxX2 LOL wow that's...that's bad.

  • FAV!! Oh, nostalgia... As an alum, I've started to get all these emails about joining the alumni club, and it just makes me want to relive the glory days...

It's funny, I was a 2nd soprano and I can still remember my part! I just can't help but sing along when I watch this, it was my absolute favorite piece! It was one of those where if we hadn't sung it in a while, a group of us would spontaneously burst out into a capella... like on tours... sigh!

  • Lol!

    The moton is funny

I have to sing that song in my song, lol my teacher is soo funny!

    Lol!

    Awesome job!

    -Briana

  • Очень приятно смотреть !!!

  • I LOVE THE MOVES! 10x better than ours! But we only have 13 people... but reallyyy good and strong voices.

  • Thats where i go to do chior!! SLCC

  • This is so nostalgic. I can't believe we did that over four years ago....I was only fifteen!!!

Thank you for posting this, it means a lot to me. I graduated from the SLCC this past year.

BTW, the tuba player's name was Jeff and he was really awesome! :D

  • Your welcome. SLCC's performance is really awesome too. Several other choruses have copied the choreography, but none that I have heard has sung it as well.

    Brian Holmes

  • wow, thank you very much for your compliment :) I had a lot of fun singing that song and so did all of my friends!

  • @MissLink I graduated slcc in 2004. we always wanted to dance to this one! its so funny to see this! b. berner never let us do thati cant believe there isnt more of slcc on youtube....

  • @Zonasin87 they didn't let you dance?? booooo it's so much fun!! Nice to hear from a fellow alum too!!!

  • JCC did this and yeah, this was the demo we watched, ya'll are AWESOME!

  • Wasn't our coreographer's name Sanjay? I remember while we were singing this I kept hoping we would make it back to the beach for another day. I miss slcc!

  • Omg .. we had to sing that for our school choirs .. And some Jappaniese Song .

  • hahhah my friend did too, was it a song that went like.

    ho ho ho narukoi......

  • @2muchevil12 Do you mean "Hotaru Koi"?

  • :P our school concert choir sang this song after our junior band played Infinity, Majestica, Soldiers Possession and Sword Dance, and Samba La Bama... after we played Sing Sing... On Monday, May 4th we are going to play Sing sing outside

  • im in the choir that this song was written for. we love the choreography!

  • I love this! Such clever, cute choreography that fits the song! Great performance.

  • i remember this...

  • nice job! CCM did this song also (i am in CCM) the only thing is that the camera person didn't show the awesome choreography enough

  • was there 2 i still sing this song around the house

  • I was in the choir in 2008 NC- the 7th and 8th graders sang this. I was a 6th grader and was chosen to sing in the 6th grade choir. It was fun and All state is a blast. I was with Mrs. House from EB Aycock middle in Greenville NC.

  • The tubist is Jeff Hoard

  • Not, is Roger Bobo

  • hahahahahahaha. i sang this with my choir. your choreography is better though. i hated it after the........ well. it just gets annoying sometimes.

  • The girls sung this at All State Chorus 2008 at NC.

  • Congratulations. I hope you enjoyed the piece. When was the performance?

    BH

  • The audience went wild and everybody was laughing so hard but is was so good and it got everyone in a good mood!

  • Even though I sang in the Mixed All-State Choir, that was my favorite song! XD

  • I was in the 6th grade choir. It was funny wasn't it watching them going BO BO BO BO BO BO BO BO over and over again. Im glad you enjoyed our concert in NC. It was 12 hour long rehearsal and Its good to know it payed off.

  • The soloist looks like John Stevens. I heard him play live at the University of Florida and he is really good.

  • OMGGGG. we're doing this song in chorus and its painful.

  • Where is your chorus doing Roger Bobo? Where?

    Cabbage

  • in new york. our concert is tuesday. no one knows their parts. it should be interesting.

  • Tell everyone in the chorus that the composer hopes they have a superb concert!

Is it on Long Island? I have relatives who might like to hear it.

    BH

  • thanks! i will. though i doubt they'll believe me... and no it's in cny. but i think i'm exaggerating it's not that bad. i tend to set a higher standard for myself. when i wrote the first comment we had just gotten the music so it's expected we don't get it right away.

  • I'm in this video too!!! We had so much fun doing the choreography! :)

    (director: Barbara Berner)

    (choreographer: Sanjay Shastry)

  • haha! that's so crazy. Who knew we'd be on youtube! That song was so much fun

  • i am in the saint louis children's choir. very hard working choir.

  • if it is Roger Bobo.... can;t hardly see, but he is on a rotary tuba, So could be maybe 20 years ago.....

  • The player isn't Roger Bobo. The piece of music is called Roger Bobo Plays the Tuba.

This performance is from three years ago

in Los Angeles. (I am the composer.) Brian Holmes

  • sorry, I didn't see all the info....

Great girls, was a lot of hard work to do this. Great job!

  • From this far, it looks like John Stevens on tuba. Then again, a lot of tuba players have the "John Fletcher" look.

  • Dear,

Wery interesting piece, if we would play in slovenia it is possible ? whhere is poblished ? or how we can get the music?

    thanks,

  • The music is published by Roger Dean, a division of Lorenz corporation. The catalogue number is 15/1736R. Please contact me if you have difficulty ordering it.

I can also provide a version for mixed chorus instead of trebles.

    Brian Holmes

    (alias Prof. Cabbage)

  • thank you...

could you give me direct link?

    best

    Simon

  • So who IS the tubist?

  • Jeffrey Hoard of the Gateway Brass Quintet.

    BH

  • Lol we are singing this for choir right now...they sing it funny... like nah bob instead of nabob and stuff...It's gonna be really fun to do the movements...<3
