Eddie Guerrero and Rey Mysterio didn't even make the final 15 but Scott Norton and Lex Luger DID? I know it's easy to nit-pick WCW's booking flaws in hindsight but still...
still remember sitting in front of my tv...PPV eating a bowl of ice cream. I stayed up passed my bed time to watch this. 1998 was a turning point for WCW.
how did wcw have the roster they did and not still be around they should just did they own thing and not worry bout wwf. If wwe went under wrestling would suck because wcw was too full of bullshit in the end I love wcw but wwe never needs to go under they are the concrete foundation for wrestling
at 1:33, Tony Schaivone says that Perry Saturn and Ernest Miller never made their way to the centre ring, although they both eliminated themselves from the 2nd ring, lol
dude look at 1:50 right after alex right and chavo is elimnated the dude in the middle with the purple is just sitting there looking at them and some guys just randomly kicks him in the stomach hahaha i laughed sooo hard in my office
i only hope that people would agree it would have bin better if neither company had gone under, the competition brought out the best in both of them, and if they were still competing i think it still would do
Agreed. WWE's ok right now, but it'd DEFINITELY be better if they had some competition, because the wars brought out the best in them.
Too bad WCW was intent on trying to put the WWF out of business. As long as they just tied to stay in their niche, they would've still been in business. (Oh, and steered clear of Russo and didn't let Kevin Nash book. Whole bunch of problems near the end.)
Anyways, this is awesome. This was always a highlight of my childhood.
i wish wcw would be around today because the only reason that wwf had the attitude era was to compete with wcw since wcw left it has been gay cause wwe has no competion
they do have some pro competition its just so bad no one cares, kind of like the wwe now-a-days, if ur not happy with that anymore watch the indies, much much better like, czw, roh, or check out your local one!
bobby heenan's math was off, he said the two men in a submission would have "26 legs walking over them". Not true, you'd have to discount the 2 men, so it's be 22 legs- come on bobby
Let me tell you Buff Bagwell was the man he had boys girls men and women watching his. Bless his career pro wrestling is very tough it is all about size. It is not about being a good talent. Look at Shelton Ben, Eugene, Great Muta, Hass, Shawn O'Hair, Mark Jindrak and more those can kick most of the staffs asses wrestling is about the look and size.
bagwell never got far because he was a prick to deal with backstage and refused to put people over. he was also known for being immature. he held himself back
Guys like Scott Norton, Buff Bagwell, Stevie Ray, Wallstreet and Vince were really just dead weight. They never really did anything big in the NWO and they never won any titles while in the NWO. They just wanted to be on TV each week. They were the "B" team. they never should have added all those extra members. It killed the NWO angle.
My point exactley. This really is War !!! Great Action and the more sensation. My storie line for the WCW was that the nWo would rule for 4 years till the millenium. And that they would start off a real definetly Millenium War. A msut be a winner confrontation WCW or nWo....But that never happened. nWo wasn't a group anymore and the WCW didn't handle it as it has to go. I even could not believe that this ever would happened.
You can't even compare RR with WW3. 60 men verse 30 men. Do the math, twice the action. Its just too bad WCW went under. I sometimes wonder what wrestling would have been like if WWE went under and WCW was still around.
I think if WCW had won the war against WWF, we'd have a shitty wrestling atmosphere just like we do now. But if WWF had gone under, you know Vince would be back in the game somehow, unlike WCW guys that just walked away from wrestling i.e. Bisch. We can all agree that competition is needed i.e. TNA.
its been a while since i've been to this video, but I agree. Guys like Nash would be sapping the company because they refuse to retire and/ or allow the young and upcoming stars shine.Vince would have been back in a huge way if he had lost because he loves confrontation and competition just as he told bob costas.

this is better because all the guys start at the same time so one 1 can the excuse that they were in 4 a long time

Also this match was kind of anti-climactic, since this match didn't nearly take as long. So not nearly as exhausting as time in the Royal Rumble.

You can be eliminated so long as you go through the ropes and both hit the floor. Its not over the top only like the Royal Rumble.
