Reading all the negative comments on here is really distrubing. What are we? Assholes? Last time I checked, its a brotherhood! @mitchz71 No need to bash the guy for his light set up. Its how he wanted it and for his budget its what he was able to do. @dixiemudtoy No need for name calling. Everyones opions on lights is different.
If everyone who was involved in this fight or followed it, looks at mitchz71's lights, they will understand that these people have different opions on lights. Period.
@LAFDExplorer58 no need for all this hatred. mitchz71, if you went down in a fire or something and dixiemudtoy was the only one around to dave you, you wouldnt want him thinking "Screw that guy, he didnt like my lights." Same same for you dixiemudtoy. At the end of the day, we all do the same job, SAVING LIFES AND PROTECTION OF PROPERTY. Whether its EMS, Fire, Rescue or Law Enforcement. All this bashing needs to stop.
@VollgasHero Between the Whelen Slimmiser and Star's Mini Phantoms..... One thing I like about the Slimmiser, more brighter and the same size as a phantom almost. Bad thing is, for a person like me, who likes red/white combo for front. I want the white inward, and Whelen doesn't allow. However. Before getting a mini phantom, I would recommend this first sirennet.com/svulb9s.html A little bit more expensive, but worth it. Psssst. P.S. Still a good video, @Diximudtoy
@VollgasHero is a slim-miser a full width windshield lightbar? and I love them, the work great with the tight confines of my windshield...there was no way i would ever be able to fit a full bar on my windshield, so the three split and put where they could best fit was the hot ticket for my truck.
Nice truck man! Do like the wonderful job! Would like some pointers, maybe you can drop me some. Also got a yoda on mine... just demoing for now. So, let me know. @Mitchz71 shhhhh, This yoda is light up nice.
You don't have to get all defensive and childish and call me names. I was just stating my opinion. I wasn't talking about the quality of the camera, I was talking about your lights. The light setup as a whole sucks. Your strobes in the rear flash together, your lights in the top of the windshield just has a some messed up flash patterns and don't even match. If your going for the redneck tow truck look then it looks good.
@mitchz71 Mother fucker, where's your car? what setup do you have? I don't see any videos on your page of any of your shit, not a damn thing except some fucking hanna montana video that you liked...fucking faggot. you have NO right to shit talk if you aint got something to put up of your own. so if all you're gonna do is shit talk my videos, just keep your fucking negative comments off my page.
@dixiemudtoy hahaha you seemed pissed, you must know I am right that your lights suck or you wouldn't get so defensive. I just posted my truck so in your words, I do have the something to talk crap about. Its a 2004 Chevy 4x4 with 2 Whelen 90 watt strobe packs, one STL direction ace 6, four TIR3, six 3 head LED bars, 1 STL slim-2 dash light. Whelen traffic backer, PEL VI six head light bar. There you go, what do you have to say now.
@mitchz71 It's a very well thought out setup, nicely done. My options of light placement were limited due to how my truck is set up for off road performance (see my other videos of build and wheeling) and budget. I can't place lights down low due to decreased approach angle and risk of damage to the lights. And the strobes you hate...well they were donated from a retired ambulance, it was an old 8 head 180 watt 4 and 4 flash pattern, it's all I could afford on a college budget.
@RaefordRedneck the strobes are in my corner markers, not my headlights; and they are just regular strobes (not sure if they are all called hideaways). Radios can be bought in all frequencies on ebay...my puxing cost $60 and worked just as good as the $1000 motorolas.
@redneck62092 Heck yeah man, go for it. I would recommend adding one small 3-LED light to each side of the toolbox and tie them into the switch that works the 3 mini phantoms in the windshield for better warning power from the side of the vehicle. It''s what I plan on doing once I get around to it. If you have any questions as to how to wire everything just shoot me a personal message.
@redneck62092 Also my strobe head has 2 more spots open where I had some off road lights strobed out in the grill ( I removed them a month before the vid was taken). I plan on replacing these with some red or red / white strobes; I would recommend doing something similar by strobing or adding LEDs to the grill / center bumper
Never thought about the cargo light, that's a good idea lol...i'll have to see what kind of space I get in there. Also the lens isn't exactly clear, so I'll have to look around to see if i can find one that is.
Also I recently moved back to my hometown (which is 100% paid department--no volunteers), but I do still run them anyways if I come up 1st on scene to a wreck...the cops always thank me for it lol. But yeah I do plan on getting the side toolbox lights for sure.
@ThemBlinkingLights yeah, i was wanting to put some there, problem is i have double sliding rear glass which makes things kind of tight...but im a jumbo-3 LED red on either side of the toolbox and some jumbo-3 LED ambers vertical on the far sides of the back glass.

One more thing @mitchz71 The look of having them off balanced is a pretty good thing. Helps a lot in some communities.

I was checking out your other video on your truck. Why not put a hidden amber light in with your cargo light? (like your front corner and tail lights)
The idea of the tool box is good Have you given any thought about a light traffic advisor that has a warning flash ability?
I am interesed to see what you come up with.
Be Safe.

Like the setup. Any plans to add lights? I am thinking a couple amber mini phantoms in the upper rear window for a little more punch at the scene.
Attention getting the way it is.
