I want the BlackBerry bold 9700....I really want it....but I cant seem no find a good and affordable (unlimited) plan. WIND has a good plan for the curve 3g but I prefer this one.I like the keyboard better plus this one is a wee bit faster at browsing and a better screen resolution.

@HeartButerfly Huh... thats strange, but you're still better off getting the 9780 or the 9900. The 9780 and the 9700 specs are pretty much the same and they still have the same design, it's just that the chrome bezel on the 9780 is a more darker shade, also the 9780 has more memory and has BB OS6 :)

Okay everyone, you can still get this phone through AT&T. All you have to do is make an account online, go to upgrade options under your number, and then scroll down till you see this device. AT&T still sells it, it's just not in there stores or on there list of devices on their home screen anymore. Do I know why? Not at all but it's true. Email me for a tutorial or something. Not only that, if the 9780 doesn't go to at&t by march, I'm getting this.

I have a iphone 3gs and im seriously considering getting The blackberry 9700. Although all the apps are amazing on the iphone and how the browser is amazing, it still doesnt serve the basic purpose of a phone. Blackberries are very great phones and after having the iphone for a year, the keyboard tends to be laggy and really slows you down as a texter. I'm a big texter Physical keyboards are always faster.

quick question! with this particular phone, when you send either an sms,mms or whatever the text messaging thing is, does it say "message sent" so you know that your message was actually sent. Other than that if you get a data plan you can have fast email and no problems with "push".

Lemme break it down

-Had a sony ericcson w580i (Peicea' crap) broke down on me and never worked again

-I'm on AT&T

-got this bb pearl off of Ebay

-Used my same SIM card from the Sony erricson, and put it in the bb pearl

-Now since BB uses internet and updates itself, will I get charged for anything extra?

-plan usage: limited calls, unlimited texting, limited internet usage

-will I get charged for just *using* a BB pearl?

The only difference is certain networks allow you to multi task while talking on the phone (sending e-mails, browsing the web, etc). I believe AT&T is currently the only network that allows that.

Additionally, certain carriers preload different types of apps. For instance, the AT&T phone has AT&T Mail and AT&T Maps preloaded.
